I love loose and mineral eye shadows, I think they just go on so much smoother and to me they are so much richer in color. But the one thing I absolutely hate is the mess that they make under my eye and if I use a shimmer I had a glitter like substance on my face all day long and I just hate that! I recently discovered my solution
Shadow Shields! These are the best thing since liquid eyeliner to the make-up world and I’m so glad to have found them!
About Shadow Shields (Taken From Website):
Shadow Shields, being called a, “Favorite Beauty Trend,” are an innovative and unique solution for eliminating messy “raccoon eyes” caused by applying eye makeup. Eliminate the mess involved in achieving that perfect smoky eye when protecting yourself with what has been called a “genius tool.” They’re moon-shaped, disposable, self-adhesives that gently stick under your eyes to catch falling pigment, eliminating that all too familiar ‘raccoon eye’ side effect experienced during eyeshadow application. Major time savers, these lightweight shields are a convenient alternative to the usual powder-under-the-eye trick. With Shadow Shields, messes will be a thing of the past!
As seen on OPRAH- Behind the scenes with “GLEE,” The TODAY Show’s, “Best In Beauty” Segment, and on The TYRA Show, Shadow Shields are recommended and used by industry-leading makeup artists and makeup enthusiasts worldwide and are the newest, most buzzed about makeup accessory! Jackie Gomez, makeup artist to Beyonce & Solange Knowles, claiming that Shadow Shields are “Truly Innovative,” while Extra’s Luxaholics segment is calling Shadow Shields, “The Red Carpet Secret Beauty Product!”
“They are great! And a fabulous alternative to the usual powder-under-the-eye trick!” says Mally Roncal, celebrity makeup artist.

My Thoughts:
I was sent a few samples of Shadow Shields to review and I can tell you I am so sold on this product! I love to use darker eye shadows in a loose or mineral form but they are just plain old messy and I mostly steer clear of them when I’m getting ready if I don’t have a lot of time for facial clean up after using them because they always seem to make the biggest messed and if you use shimmer it leaves specs of glitter and shimmer all over your cheek!
I could not wait to try out the Shadow Shields when they arrived and lucky I had not done my make up for the day so off to my beauty room I went to try them out and my conclusion? I LOVE THEM!! I think they are a must have in any make-up case or room if you are like me!
I only used it on one eye here to show you what the eye with the Shadow Shield looked like all clean and nice vs. the one without the Shadow Shield, I think you can choose which one was used with the Shadow Shield and the one not protected!
These are so easy to apply all you have to do is remove the backing and apply shield below your eye, put on your eye make up then when finished gently remove your shields and throw them away!
Bottom Line:
They are going to be in my make-up drawer from now on, I will not be with out these awesome Shadow Shields any longer! Like I said in the very beginning of this review they are the best thing that has happened to the make-up world since liquid eyeliner to my notion!
