“Bug” is getting old enough now to realize when he does things he isn’t supposed to be doing and it’s time that he starts getting punished for what he does wrong. Now I am not one of those parents that believes in spankings, I don’t think that they do anything but teach kids that it’s ok to hit other people when they make you mad or do something that they don’t think they are supposed to do, so I am a believer in timeout and have been practicing it with “Bug” for quite some time now with great success, but it is difficult at times when we are away form home to put him in a designated time out spot but with the help of Doodle & Juju Park It Mat it’s a problem of the past!

My Thoughts:
I was lucky enough to get my choice of Park It Mat to review with “Bug” and we decided to choose the Mama’s Boy design and I could not be happier with the choice! Now, I don’t like putting “Bug” in timeout for any reason but with our new Park It Mat from Doodle & Juju it makes it so much easier to teach him right from wrong when we are at home or anywhere else when we take our Park It Mat along with us and I make sure I have it in our diaper bag any time we leave the house.
I have chosen a special spot in our dining room area where our Park It Mat stays while we are at home and I hate to admit but I’ve had to use it quite a few times since we got it to make “Bug” realize I’m not playing after the first warning and it’s almost heartbreaking to watch him set and serve his 2 minuets in timeout but it’s really made a huge difference him actually being able to see the Park It Mat and know he has to stay directly on the mat or his 2 minuets starts all over again and I’ve seen a huge improvement in his behavior.
When I first started using the Park It Mat with “Bug” it was quite hilarious the first time I made him sit on it in timeout, after his 2 minuets he took out his anger on the Park It Mat jumping up and down on it and throwing it against the wall but he didn’t get that way with the dog, his toys or us so I’d say Park It Mat was a huge success!
Bottom Line:
“Bug” may not like his new Park It Mat but mommy loves it! It has helped me reinforce our house rules no matter where we are! It doesn’t matter if we are at my parents house or out eating at a restaurant with friends I can take the Park It Mat and use it if needed but I’m proud to say that after a couple of times on it “Bug” knows that it’s not a fun place to be and usually behaves after the first warning!
I want to say a huge thank you to Doodle & Juju for helping me at home and when we are out in public to teach my child how to behave!
