Dropps Laundry Detergent Pacs Review and Giveaway
Ok so laundry isn’t as bad as doing dirty dishes, but it’s darn near close in my book! I’m so not a fan of doing laundry so anything that will make doing laundry quicker and easier I’m all about it!! I’ve recently been looking for a new laundry detergent to use and I came across Dropps Laundry Detergent Pacs and thought hum, this may be something that helps make laundry easier and quicker so I was very excited to get to it out!
About Dropps Laundry Detergent (taken from website):
They were the best of times. They were the worst of times.
The time was the early 80s. New Wave was on the radio. MTV came to cable TV. And those big chunky sweaters were all the rage. We should know, we made the chunky yarn at our very own cotton mill just outside Philadelphia. Yep, those were good times. Except of course, if you were the sweaters. Because every time we washed them, the harsh detergents and rough laundry routine made our sweet yarn all yellowed and stretchy.
Necessity is the mother of clean clothes
What we needed was a formula that could keep fabrics looking better, longer. So we removed the enzymes to keep the fabrics vibrant and soft (and to prevent their fibers from breaking down.) The result? An innovative formula with a split personality: tough on dirt, but gentle on your favorite garments. We knew we were onto something great... but it was only the beginning!
Clean. And pretty darn convenient, too.
With all the stuff we took out of this new detergent, we knew we had a small wonder on our hands. Which got us thinking, “What else can we make smaller? ” Then we thought the last thing moms needed was another huge drippy, sticky jug of detergent to deal with. So we put all the cleaning power in small, convenient, dissolvable pacs. Each is pre-measured to make laundry down-right fool-proof. You just drop ‘em in the laundry. Voila! Dropps was born. An idea that proved to be so smart, the leading consumer publications (did someone say Oprah?) and moms couldn’t stop raving about us. And who doesn’t love flattery!
Saving the earth, one wash at a time.
A funny thing happened on the way to the laundry room. We quickly discovered the whole Dropps movement is great for the planet. (Yay!). Remember, we’re phosphate-free, chlorine-free and NPE-free, too! And talk about a smaller footprint! We use less water, use way less plastic, take up less space, cost much less to ship and leave tremendously less mess in our landfills. You’ll agree... every pac counts!
And to think, we started out trying to save some clothes... and it looks like we’re helping to save something even larger.
Enjoy
Our Thoughts:
We were sent a sample of each of the three varieties of Dropps laundry detergent pacs to try out!
My husband used the Scent + Dye Free variety on his work uniforms and I can say that this was going to be the test of all test on if Dropps was going to work to get rid of the smell and grime that comes along with the tire business. He used the suggested amount two Dropp pacs for his extra heavy load and to both of our surprise once they were washed and dried they were so clean and did not have the stench that some of the other detergent that we had used on his uniforms had. He is very impressed with the results he has gotten from Dropp laundry detergent that it’s a pretty safe bet to say it’s a must have in our laundry room!
I personally like the fresh scent myself, and I used my samples on our bed sheets and pillow cases and I’m very happy with the results! They came out so clean and smelling so fresh! I’m really thrilled that all have to do is drop a couple of Dropps laundry pacs into the washer add my clothing and go about my chores and they come out all clean and fresh!
I used the Baby variety on my son’s clothing, I know he isn’t a baby but he still has a reaction to some of the “adult” detergent when washing his undies and I’m very happy with the Dropps baby variety pacs for him, he has yet to have a break out from using Dropps!
Bottom Line:
We are new fans of Dropps laundry detergent and it’s now a must have in our laundry room! I find it more convenient and a whole lot less messy than the powder detergent that we used before we discovered Dropps! I no longer have to worry about my towels or jeans coming out of the washer with a ground in white powder look from our powder detergent and I don’t have to worry about using too much liquid detergent, all I have to do is drop in two Dropps laundry pacs add my clothing and not have to worry about them at all!
Now if Dropps would fold an put away my clothing all would be wonderful! Just kidding, but really we do recommend Dropps to anyone looking to eliminating the measuring and power mess that accompanies other detergents! I’m thinking that my sister being a first year collage student these would be perfect for when she does laundry there isn’t any way she could screw this up!
I feel like the price of Dropps is very reasonable since you can get a 20 load pack for just $7.00 and you eliminate all the mess and measuring! Not sure just yet? Then head over to their site to purchase a 2 load pouch for only $1.00 to see if it’s right for you!

I would like to try the Dropps Laundry Detergent Pacs in Fresh Scent. My wife is somewhat reluctant to certain changes and laundry detergent is one of them. So if I'm going to introduce a detergent that she hasn't tried before, the clothes have to smell clean as well as look clean. :)
