Cloud Star Chewy Tricky Trainers Review and Giveaway Bringing Home Puppy Event

Ok so here we are again moving along with our Brining Home Puppy Event to welcome home our new puppy Cash!

So one of the most important parts of owning a puppy is training him to behave and well just for fun some cool tricks to show your friends right? Right, so when I’m looking to do some training and rewarding I look for something small that won’t ruin his appetite and of course something that he loves! I was recently introduced to Cloud Star’s Chewy Tricky Trainers and here is how Cash liked them!

Cloud Star was founded during an evening date between newlyweds Jennifer Melton and Brennan Johnson. They didn't understand at the time - in fact, it wasn't until many months later - that a trip to the animal shelter would change their lives forever. It wasn't long until the couple realized that their newly-adopted shelter puppy, Samantha, suffered from food allergies, a sensitive stomach, and was a finicky eater. Lesson: love-hungry shelter puppies need lots of love.

The search was on to find a diet that would satisfy Samantha's finicky palate and yield to her many food allergies. After unsuccessfully trying many commercially-available treats, Melton began making Samantha's treats at home. Buddy Biscuits were born. Melton then began baking more treats for animal shelter bake sales. And more treats. The response was overwhelming. And more treats. People would call requesting more. And more treats.

Melton, the marketing director for a clothing company, and Johnson, a structural engineer, began to ponder the thought of starting a company manufacturing and marketing natural pet products.

And now, many years later, the original formula, with the help of many grateful tasters, has blossomed into a company whose mission is to provide tasty and wholesome products for pets everywhere.

The home kitchen has long been outgrown... although Melton and Johnson are still sampling treats off the line every day (along with Samantha and her more recently adopted furry sister, Nala), Buddy Biscuits are now manufactured in a fully-automated process. That's not to say that love isn't still baked into each batch. There is love. Lots of love.

Our Thoughts:

Cash was sent all three flavors of Cloud Star’s Chewy Tricky Trainers!

Cheddar Flavor:

I think this is probably Cash’s favorite of the three flavors we were sent, I swear that he can smell them as soon as the bag is opened because he comes running as fast as he can to get him a bite! Now with most moist treats well, lets face it they stink but this cheddar flavor really smells good! Like good enough to take a bite although I didn’t LOL! I’m very pleased with the results we have seen using this cheddar flavored treat! I use this flavor to work with Cash on the fundamentals of sitting and such and so far he had done really well.

Liver Flavor:

Now this one is a bit stinker but with no less amazing results, Cash really enjoys this flavor as well. I like to use this one to reward him when he does his puppy business outside instead of in the house and so far it’s really went over well! I carry a couple of the out with me when I take him outside and as soon as he does his thing I let he have one and so far we’ve seen pretty decent results using this liver flavored treat.

Last but certainly not least is the Salmon Flavor:

I really like to use this treat when we give him his bath it keeps him sitting still long enough for us to get him sparkly clean! I have also been teaching him how to walk on a leash, well more like “Bug” has he is constantly wanting to make him walk on the leash but I use these as incentives and rewards when he goes on a successful walk with out much whining and coming to complete stops like puppies will do.

Bottom Line:

Cash really enjoys all three flavors and they will be a staple in the training area for a long time to come. I really like how well he reacts to the different flavors and I find that each one has served a purpose and we are really making headway in training him to be a good young dog and I have confidence that with these treats they are going to help us get there with less resistance and hopefully quicker!

We do recommend these to anyone that enjoys rewarding their dogs for good behavior and for tricks that they do! I’m pretty sure that your dog will love all three flavors of treats, but I’m also sure they will have their favorite just like Cash and the Cheddar Flavor Chewy Tricky Trainers!
