Ernie’s Salsas Review and Giveaway
My husband loves salsa, it doesn’t matter where we go to eat if they offer salsa as an appetizer he is right on top of it! So, I am always on the lookout for new and unique salsas to get him to try out! Now he is rather picky about his salsa and has rarely found one that meets all of his expectations, well that was until just the other day when we were introduced to Ernie’s Salsas!
About Ernie’s Salsas (Taken From Website):
Long before Ernie’s salsas were at grocery stores, he was making batches for friends and family and serving it at parties. Even in those early days, he noticed that salsa and social gatherings go together like chips and...well…salsa.
So, with vegetables from his garden and plenty of friends and family to test recipes on, Ernie got to work.
It took 25 years of tweaking and refining his recipes, but finally Ernie's "Gourmet Red" and "Perfect Peach" were born. Anyone who has tasted his salsas would agree, all the work was worth it.
My Thoughts:
Ernie was kind enough to send us a jar of the “Perfect Peach” Salsa and a jar of the “Gourmet Red” Salsa for my husband to put to the test!
The first one we tried was the “Gourmet Red” Salsa and all I can say is this salsa is AWESOME! I didn’t find it too spicy at all and the flavor was so full and yummy! My husband had to agree with this one he sat and ate almost the whole jar all by himself, and what little bit he did end up saving for the rest of us I used on my homemade enchiladas last night and boy, was it amazing! I have never tasted a red salsa that was this good it truly is the perfect mix of spice and sweetness to keep you wanting more!
Next we decided to try the “Perfect Peach” Salsa and this one is by far my favorite and I’ve just about gotten the whole jar eaten all by myself! My first thought was WOW! Now, it seemed like to me that this salsa had a bit more of a spicy “bite” to it than the “Gourmet Red” Salsa and I for one love it! I like my salsa a bit on the spicy side so this one was perfect it was spicy and had a super sweet kick to be just perfect! I can’t wait to try this salsa on some Grilled Cheese Sandwiches for lunch tomorrow!
Bottom Line:
We love Ernie’s Salsas not just one but both flavors we were sent were heavenly and by far the best salsa we have ever ate! I have a sneaking suspicion that there will always be a jar of Ernie’s Salsa in our pantry for when those “snack attack” salsa cravings hit because boy do these ever hit the salsa spot! I’m thinking that at our next game night or wrestling PPV is going to be a huge hit when we bring out the Fritos and Ernie’s Salsas!
If you like salsa and want to try some of the best salsa ever, pick you up a jar of either the “Gourmet Red” or “Perfect Peach” Salsas and get your salsa on! Really though, we do recommend that you give Ernie’s a try if you like salsa and salsa with a bit of a sweet twist because both salsas offer just the right amount of both sweet and spicy to really tease your taste buds!
