I almost always use straws when I’m drinking something, everything from water, soda pops, milkshakes you name it I use a straw with it and well honestly buying plastic straws can eventually get expensive, especially with both “Bug” and I using them several times daily. Not only do they cost money they also create quite a bit of trash to just set in the local dump, and we are trying to green up our living and help by using more products that can be either reused or recycled and when I had the opportunity to review GlassDharma Glass Straws I was ecstatic! I could not wait to get my hands on some of these reusable straws!

My thoughts:

I was sent several samples of GlassDharma glass straws to review and I have to say I could not have been more excited to give these straws a try when they arrived! I put them in the dishwasher immediately so that we could use them that night at dinner time!

That night at dinner everyone picked their favorite straw to use and let me tell you it was quite a chore since they sent us one of each they have available!

“Bug” got the small decorative dot straw in blue since it was the smallest and he really enjoyed using it at dinner and drank all of his milk through it. I chose the Beautiful Bend straw that has a slight bend in the top for my soda and it was really cool to be using a glass straw and I felt so sophisticated! My husband chose to use the Standard Drinking straw and he was quite pleased with his as well.

I love that they sent us a couple of cleaning brushes with the straws, and I know they are dishwasher safe but I still like to wash the straws with the cleaning brush just to know they are for sure clean!

We recently had a small get-together of our friends and I thought it would be fun to let our friends test out our new glass drinking straws and they were a huge hit, and every body wanted to know where we got them!

I personally love my large blue decorative dot straw for my hand-made milk shakes, it’s just the perfect size!! I was truly amazed and shocked at how bad plastic straws are for you to use with the toxins that they allow in your food and drinks from their manufacturing process, and it’s really changed the way I look at plastic straws!

Bottom Line:

We are never going to go back to plastic straws ever again! We have also started taking our favorite straws with us when we visit restaurants so we don’t have to use their plastic straws!

I also love that these straws don’t break easily and with a 2 year old using them that’s absolutely wonderful! He really tries to be easy with them but he has dropped his a couple of times and it got not so much as a chip in it so to me these are wonderful in every way!
