I have an awesome product to share with you all today as we continue right along with our Christmas Wish List 2010, and it called The Slanket!!! Now, one of my most favorite things to do when I have some time to just spend by myself or when I get family time is just setting around/cuddling on the couch watching family themed movies when I’m with the family or ghost stories when I’m watching it by myself and I have to admit that with a traditional blanket it’s quite hard to keep your arms and hands warm when changing the tv, starting the dvd or checking my e-mail so when I had the opportunity to review The Slanket I knew it would be a perfect addition to our Christmas Wish List!
About The Slanket (Taken From Website):
One subzero night in 1998 during my first semester of college I could not escape Maine's winter bite. While watching Late Night with Conan O'Brien I decided I needed to tear a hole in my sleeping bag so I could keep my upper body warm as I channel surfed during the commercial breaks. During Christmas vacation I commissioned the first Slanket to be made by my mother...and it was born.
Everyone behind The Slanket is on the same level when it comes to life. Besides creating a product to make people comfortable and warm, our life goals are not to accumulate mansions, SUV's, expensive watches and closets just for shoes. What we want in life is to travel the world and experience all its cultures while representing humanity positively. Whether surfing in Costa Rica, snowboarding in Austria, or studying language in South America and China, we love to spread our sleeves and let them flap in the wind, giving back in the process. BUT... there is nothing like coming home, wrapping up in The Slanket on your own couch and feeling the warmth of your friends and family.
I was sent the Walk The Slank, Slanket to review and I chose it for more than one reason, I’m a huge fan of anything Pirate and of course our home town football team is the Dover Pirates so I knew it would be great to take to those really cold home games :0)! My Slanket arrived very quickly and I couldn’t wait to get an excuse to use it, and trust me that didn’t take to long because Chad feels the need to keep our house freezing at night so he can sleep better!
I have used my Slanket several times since receiving it and I have to admit I love it!! It’s perfect for snuggling up on the couch with “Bug” to watch Dinosaur Train before bed and it’s perfect for me to use in the early mornings when I’m working on my blog or checking my e-mail! The fact that it actually has arms that keeps both arms and hands free while protecting them from the cold and keeping them toasty rocks! I’m not the only one who has been enjoying The Slanket since its arrival, Chad has used it just as much if not more than I have, he seems to stake claims to it once he gets home from work and it’s a fight to get it back LOL! So now I know at least one gift to give him this holiday season his own Slanket to get mine back!!!
Not only is The Slanket super great with its open, free hands but it’s super warm and snuggly to boot! I absolutely love everything about The Slanket! It’s super easy to fold and store so that you can have it put out of the way when your not using it but it also looks pretty awesome draped over the back of our couch when I know I’m just going to be using it again that night!
I feel that The Slanket would make a wonderful gift for just about everybody this holiday season and they also have a kids size Slanket, how awesome is that? I know I for one would be super have to find one of these under my tree this holiday season and I’m planning on purchasing one for Chad and one for our “white elephant” game we play every year!
