Rhino Toys, Inc Review and Giveaway (Christmas Wish List 2010)

Well we are moving right along with our review and giveaways for this coming Christmas holiday and I can’t tell you how excited I have been working on coming up with only the best reviews and giveaways for all of my amazing readers and today is no exception!! I’ve realized that I haven’t featured many toys so far and as a mother with a very active and curios 2 year old little boy and an aunt to quite a few nieces and nephews I felt it was only right to include something special today that would make a wonderful addition under the tree on Christmas morning, so today I would like to feature Rhino Toys Inc and when I was given the opportunity to work with them I knew they would be a perfect fit!!!

About Rhino Toys, Inc (Taken From Website):

Rhino Toys creates and markets cool toys for all ages. Rhino Toys products have been designed to provide innovative, tactile and high performance fun. Their brand of toys inspire exciting play today and tomorrow!

Rhino Toys is a young toy manufacturing company based in Santa Cruz, CA. It was founded in 2001 by David Silverglate, a toy inventor, and his wife, Suzanne. The Silverglates decided to start their own toy manufacturing company because they believed they could do the best job of bringing David's concepts to market. With a degree in physics from University of California at Santa Cruz, David has used his expertise to create toys that fly, float, spin or otherwise play better. He holds nine patents in the fields of toys and opto-electronics.

David Silverglate is the inventor of the ever-popular and award-winning Oball, the flagship product for Rhino Toys.

Oball is just the beginning for Rhino Toys. Currently the Rhino Toys product line includes 20 different toys, adding 3 new products every year! We at Rhino Toys believe in toys that are REAL, ACTIVE and FUN!

Our Thoughts:

I was sent given the opportunity to choose a product from Rhino Toys to review that I thought my little “Bug” would enjoy playing with and I have to admit it was a rather tough decision since they offer so many amazing toys that look incredibly fun, but I finally decided on the Bat & Oball with the help of my hubby! “Bug” is really starting to get extremely into Baseball, and I think it’s due to all the t-ball games we went to this summer to watch our nephew play but in any case or for any reason he really loves it and has been using a plastic ball and a stick outside to play so I thought this would make a perfect gift for him!

Here is a little more detail about the Bat & Oball (taken from the website)

Now don't just throw your Oball - Hit it!

Take an Oball. Add a bat and you have a great ball and bat set for young children. This Oball and Bat set features the 4" Oball and a 22" hollow, plastic bat. The Bat has a special "Scoop 'n Store" feature that lets you pick up and store your Oball in the bat without bending over! This Oball and Bat set is a fun way to learn and play baseball, especially for preschoolers.

Ages 3+ years

Once the Bat & Oball arrived came the decision if we wanted to give it to “Bug” now or wait until Christmas and let him find it under the tree and my husband finally won and we decided to keep it until Christmas but in all fairness to the review my husband and I decided to take it out and try it one Saturday when “Bug” was visiting his grandparents. My first thoughts about this bat and ball set was that it would be very similar to the toddler bats and balls you can buy at any local discount store but boy did I feel silly after we started playing and as much as I hate to admit it I really had a great time playing with the Bat & Oball with the hubby and I’m super excited to play with “Bug”!

Both my husband and I feel that this is going to be a wonderful toy for “Bug” because the bat is extremely easy to hold and very light weight which will make it easy for “Bug” to swing toward the ball and the ball is light enough that our little niece will be able to “pitch” it to “Bug” and visa versa when the get to playing and I have a feeling they are both going to love it! Another thing we really like about the ball is that it is big enough for the bat to connect with and the bat is large enough for them to hit the ball without to much trouble which I feel will make for a much more fun game of ball without less fits and fights!

Bottom Line:

I don’t think we could not have made a better decision on the product we chose to review although they have several more products that would have made our little “Bug” very happy. I think that the Bat & Oball will be perfect for the smaller kids to play together while the older ones are playing with the more grown up bat and balls and the littler kiddos can and will now stay out of their way! I’ve also got my eye on the Stranz Football for one of my football loving nephews!

If you are looking for a unique toy to put under your tree or to stuff your stockings with look no farther than Rhino Toys, Inc! I feel that if you purchase from Rhino Toys your not only getting the recipient a wonderful high quality toy and hours of fun and play but you are defiantly going to be getting your full moneys worth and best of all the prices are very reasonable and won’t break the bank!
