Road Rage Jewelry Review and Giveaway (Christmas Wish List 2010)

I love jewelry!! Point blank and I have to add that the best kind of jewelry and the jewelry I love the most is personalized pieces that I can customize myself for myself or for one of my family members or friends so this holiday season while looking for customizable jewelry that would really allow me to make a statement and express myself I happened to come upon Road Rage Jewelry and if you every lived in a super small town with hardly no traffic and then had to drive through a huge and busy city Road Rage is just a way of life but well….to be honest anytime I get behind the wheel I have a tendency to have Road Rage at some point and time no matter how long or short the trip, so after checking out all the options at Road Rage Jewelry I was automatically in love with their necklaces and when I was given the opportunity to review a necklace that I created myself I was so excited and couldn’t wait to get started!

About Road Rage Jewelry (Taken From Website):

Located in Plantation, Florida, TallGirl3 is a wholly owned LLC established in 2008. Jeanne Koesters, the creator and designer, is a working legal secretary and mother of three with a dream to do something different.

While stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic one morning, she watched and listenend as other drivers thumped their steering wheels and yelled. Road Rage came to mind. Having then passed a "Drive Safely" sign and silently repeating a customary prayer, she started looking more closely at other street signs. The variety of shapes and colors inspired her. She thought, "why not take two ugly words and turn a negative into a positive?" Hence, Road Rage Jewelry® was born.

She began by locating a manufacturer (ISO certified) and commenced production of actual street signs. She truly believed in pursuing the "green aspect" of production, and when studying her particular target market and their concerns, she was determined to "keep it real." Road Rage Jewelry® is manufactured with recycled lightweight aluminum; the graphics are all ROHS (non-lead paint) compliant; and is proudly “made in the U.S.A.”

Next came the design idea of using a simple ball chain necklace with a street name attached ("Malfunction Junction" "University Drive" etc.) The ball and chain gave it a rugged but simple look that played into the feel of an actual roadway. Wanting people to be able to express their individuality, she made the signs versatile so that other funny signs in varying shape, sizes and colors, could be attached to the bottom of the street sign. That's when Road Rage Jewelry® "took off." What you see are actual street and road signs that can be found throughout the United States that have been scaled down to various sizes from ½” to 3.”

"Malfunction Junction" with a "Dead End" and "Do Not Enter" sign, could sum up anyone's day.

Road Rage Jewelry® starting with its initial series, will be adding hundreds of various street names and individual signs to appeal to people from all backgrounds, and from over the world. Come watch us grow!

Additionally, Road Rage Jewelry®, has designated its “Drive Safely” and “Baghdad” series to “Pay it Forward.” A portion of the proceeds from the sales of these signs will be divided among charities identified through CharityNavigator.com and other worthy fundraisers.

You can follow Tallgirl3’s rants at her blog because on the lighter side, we think it’s a must safer way to express yourself than flicking off other drivers. You can Tweet us or join in the fun at MySpace . For corporate info, connect with us at LinkedIn.

We said it before - no two people are alike and the same goes for Road Rage Jewelry®. Words and symbols can be a powerful and funny way to express what you want to say. We, at Road Rage Jewelry® love to laugh when we are designing them, and are ROTFL when we see what our customers have created.

My Thoughts:

I was given the opportunity as I said to create my own necklace with three charms and I have to say even though I had an idea of what I wanted I did have a hard time making the final choices but I did finally decide to go with:

Malfunction Junction Necklace

Do Not Enter Sign

Private Property (Espanol) Sign

Road Rage Logo Sign

So once I finally made my decision and let Jeanne know my choices my necklace and charms arrived very quickly and I was amazed at how awesome they looked in person vs. the photos on the website, don’t get me wrong the photos on the website are awesome but in person they are way more than I had ever expected!!!! As soon as my necklace and charms arrived I immediately began putting them together like I wanted them (so perfect by the way) I tried them several different ways (all down the middle, all across in each of the three holes, two on one side) but I finally decided I like them all in a line in each of the holes with the Road Rage logo charm in the middle! The charms were super easy to put on the necklace, I just used my fingers so I say no tools are needed and best of all if you ever want to add onto your necklace you can add on to each of the charms!!

Since, receiving my necklace I’ve worn it almost daily and I was very surprised at just how light the necklace and charms were once put together, the look like they would be heavy but they are actually very light and comfortable to wear! I’ve gotten so many great compliments on my necklace from Road Rage Jewelry and I’ve had my sister and a couple of my closest friends say that they would love to have their own necklace for Christmas this year! I just love that one piece of jewelry that goes with just about everything in my wardrobe closet and Road Rage Jewelry does just that for me, since I’m not into dressing all professional and such my closet is full of rock ‘n’ roll tees and ripped up jeans so it’s the perfect accessory to my everyday wear!

Like I said I’ve worn the necklace almost daily and I’m very happy with the quality and durability of this piece of jewelry! I’ve had custom jewelry in the past that didn’t hold up very well with daily wear and tear and remember I have a rambunctious soon to be 3yr old son so it’s very important for me to be able to find jewelry that will hold up to him and all I can say is that I haven’t had any issues what so ever with the Road Rage Jewelry necklace that I chose to review!

Bottom Line:

I love my custom necklace from Road Rage Jewelry and I can’t wait to make my final decision on my next 3 charms because I’m really looking forward to adding on and since I’m staring college next month I have a feeling that I will need to express my frustrations just a little more than normal for a while!!!!

I also wanted to mention that another thing that makes Road Rage Jewelry the perfect place to shop this holiday season is of course their very affordable prices on both their necklaces and charms, you can purchase the necklace of your choice for $17.99 and then the charms each run around $2.99 and with the selection of charms your sure to find the perfect additions to your necklace!
