I’m now an official Chiquita Mom and a Chiquita Giveaway for all of you!

For as long as I can remember my entire family has enjoyed the taste and nutrition of Chiquita Bananas, and since “Bug” has been old enough to eat solid foods he has been enjoying Chiquita Bananas and they just happen to be one of his most favorite snacks so when I was asked to become and official Chiquita Mom, I was so thrilled I just couldn’t say no!

About Chiquita Bananas:

Think of bananas and you probably think of Chiquita® and the familiar blue label. For good reason. We were the first company to brand the banana back in 1944, when we introduced Miss Chiquita. Her catchy jingle taught consumers about Chiquita bananas and how to store them.

Just in case you can't sing, find out everything you need to know about selecting and handling Chiquita bananas.

You can also expand your taste horizons by exploring our exotic banana varieties.

When asked to name one brand of bananas, more consumers say Chiquita than any other brand. Chiquita is tops with consumers for taste, appearance, freshness, nutrition, value and size, too.

My Thoughts:

We were so kindly sent a Chiquita Mom Kit to review that included: an informational brochure, yummy banana recipes, coupon, and a couple of fun items for you like a reusable grocery bag and helpful freezer bags (so you can save those “spotty” bananas for amazing treats) and more!

We already purchase Chiquita Bananas on a weekly basis and I had already know about some amazing recipes using Chiquita Bananas such as awesome banana pudding and strawberry/banana fruit smoothies but what I didn’t know was all the other amazing treats you could make with fresh Chiquita Bananas like the Chocolate Banana Pops and the Banana No Bake Cookies and so many more that you can find online HERE!

Every year during the holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas) I make my very special Banana Split Cake and I only use Chiquita Bananas!!! It has been a hit at all of our holiday dinners and now it’s a tradition for me to make one each holiday and I wouldn’t trust my Banana Split Cake to any other brand of Bananas!!!

After receiving the kit with the coupon for free Chiquita Bananas my little “Bug” and I decided to make the Chocolate Banana Pop(s) and not only is this recipe supper duper easy it’s the perfect recipe to do with my little man and he absolutely loves them and they have now become a regular treat in our house! Just in case you want it here is the recipe:

Get the kids in on the preparation of this easy, healthy frozen banana chocolate treat.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 4 hours freezing time, 10 minutes
Servings: 1

Ingredients:
1 whole Chiquita Banana
1/2 cup Chocolate Chips
1/4 cup Crisp rice cereal or crushed nuts (optional)
2 whole Ice Pop Sticks
1 sheet Plastic Wrap
1 sheet Wax Paper

Instructions for:
quick Chiquita Chocolate Banana Pop Recipe
Peel the banana, cut it in half width-wise and insert the sticks part way into each banana half. Wrap in plastic wrap and freeze for about an hour. Put the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and melt them on half power, checking every 10 seconds so they don't burn. Dip the bananas in the melted chocolate till they're coated. Dip in rice cereal or crushed nuts, if you like. Place on wax paper and put in the freezer to set for at least one hour.

And if you want to learn more about Chiquita Bananas and get some delicious recipies check out this awesome site HERE!
