Mountain Mama’s Kitchen Co. Review and Giveaway (Christmas Wish List)
So, I’m very picky about the way my home smells and there is no way I go a day without burning some kind of candle or scent type product, so naturally I’m always on the look out for the perfect scents of candles and other fragrance products to help keep my home smelling wonderful and inviting! I recently came upon a candle company that was recently featured in an issue of Shape Magazine called Mountain Mama’s Kitchen Co (doesn’t the name itself make you think of great smelling candles?) and when I was given the opportunity to work with them on a review and giveaway right here on The Cartoon Lovin’ Mama, I couldn’t wait to share their awesome candles with all of you!!!
About Mountain Mama’s Kitchen Co (Taken from Website):
Soy wax does not burn as hot as paraffin wax, so soy wax candles require a thicker wick, which does not combust 100%. When you first light your candle, allow for the wax to pool all the way to the outer edges of the container. This guarantees an even burn and a maximum fragrance throw.
Trim wick 1/4" before each use, and never move or re-light until flame is out and wax is completely solid. Be sure not to over trim the wick.
Set the candle on protected, heat-resistant surfaces and keep wax free of wick trimmings, matches and other debris.
Avoid drafts and vibrations and keep out of reach of children and pets.
Never burn your candle on or near anything flammable, or for more than 3-4 hours at a time.
Burn your candle within sight and extinguish with care.
Container will be hot when candle is lit.
Do not burn if wax level is below 1/4”.
We hand pour all our Soy candles
Wicks are ALL Cotton- Lead Free
We double scent all candles
Do your part and REUSE the Container!
If you have wax left in the container, prior to soaking it, you can place glass container in freezer for an hour. Use a dull knife to remove hardened wax.Once you have removed the excess wax, simply clean the container with warm soap and water. Soak the container in warm soapy water and wash as you would any other glass.
Our Thoughts:
I was sent two of Mountain Mama’s Kitchen Co. Candle In-A-Can candles to review and I have to say they arrived very quickly and I couldn’t wait to get into the box to see which of the two scents I was sent to review and I was very pleased when I opened the package to discover that I was sent Juicy and Spiced Cider to review! I had read the descriptions of all the fragrances on the Candle In-A-Can candles and I have to say that just by reading about them they sounded like they would be a perfect fit in our home!
The first thing I noticed about the Candle In-A-Can candles is the adorable little tin they come in and the logo on the lid is just to adorable! I’m totally loving the pin up girl on the top and I think that the can itself makes a wonderful addition to any kitchen or bathroom décor! I’m also quite fond of the names of the candles, I love the simple yet catching names that seem to make it easy to remember the scent so that reordering will be a quick and painless process!
The first candle we decided to try out was the Spiced Cider candle and I felt it was only appropriate to place it in our kitchen/dining room area, and I have to say that I love this scent it really helped bring the holidays to life for us a bit early this year since we started this review in late Oct-early Nov, but I am so pleased at the very pleasant scent and how cleanly and evenly the candle itself burns. It didn’t take this candle long to fill the entire kitchen/dining room area with a very nice fragrance and when my husband came home form work he asked what kind of goodies I had baked because they smelt so good, so he was quite disappointed when he found out I hadn’t done any baking and it was a candle instead!
The next fragrance we tried out was the Juicy candle and we decided to place this one in our guest/main bathroom since it was the one that gets used most often. The only way I can describe this scent is delicious, point blank it reminds me of the summer days here in Arkansas out at the lake eating fresh cold melons and fruits at our BBQs. This is for sure the perfect scent for our family and we absolutely love it….well so much the hubby and I decided to move it to our bedroom instead of leaving it in the bathroom and this candle burnt just as clean and evenly as the Spiced Cider candle!
Both of the candles lasted quite a while and we have used them both to where there is nothing left and I’m loving that I can reuse the cans that they came in for little things like the Juicy can I’m using in my bathroom as a holder for my earrings and hair ties and I’ve been using the Spiced Cider can in my kitchen area to hold my spare keys and change so really these candles are great they smell awesome and then after the candle itself is gone you can still use the adorable can for other needs!!!
Bottom Line:
I just can’t stress enough how much I have enjoyed reviewing both of these Candles In-A-Can and I can’t wait to try out some of the other amazing scents Mountain Mama’s Kitchen Co has to offer in the Candle In-A-Can series, Spark series and Sprout Series! All the scents sound amazing and I’m extremely happy with both the scents we were sent to review and I love that they burn so clean & even, because that is exactly what I look for when I’m purchasing candles of any type so in my book Mountain Mama’s Kitchen Co candles are at the very top of my list of candle companies to buy from!!!
If you are looking for the perfect stocking stuffer or gift basket addition I would highly recommend the candles from Mountain Mama’s Kitchen Co because they are beautiful and very fragrant and won’t break your holiday budget! I think that these candles would make a great gift for everyone on your holiday list this year from homeowners, teens and college students, so check out the awesome scents and add some to your candle collection today!
