Chuggington Training Yard With Loop Playset (Learning Curve) Review and Giveaway (Christmas Wish List 2010)
So my little “Bug” has just recently (within the last year or so) became really interested in trains and one of his favorite shows on TV happens to be Chuggington and he can tell me each and every one of the character’s names and recognizes them in the stores when we go in and he has several of the playsets and figures on his Christmas list this year so when I had the opportunity to work with Learning Curve on a review and giveaway of the Training Yard with Loop Playset I was pretty excited to see the look on “Bug’s” face when it arrived!
About the Training Yard with Loop Playset:
The Training Yard with Loop Playset is truly an action-packed experience! Engines plummet down the spiral track, shoot through the launcher, and race through an exciting 360° overhead loop! Motorized engine launcher propels up to two engines through the loop. Includes a die-cast Wilson engine and a Vee figure. Ages 3 & up. MSRP $39.99
The set includes:
Chuggington Tower platform
8 track pieces
Die cast Wilson engine.
We were sent the Chuggington Training Yard with Loop Playset and an extra Koko Die Cast toy to review and once it arrived my little man was ecstatic!!! I was planning on waiting until Christmas to give it to him but he happened to be right behind me when I opened the box, so he immediately claimed it! So we went to putting it together to see how this baby worked and it was extremely easy and didn’t take anytime at all to get it up and running!
Now, if you have ever seen the show on TV you have heard all the sounds and lights of Chuggington and this set also includes lots of lights and sounds that “Bug” loves!!! We have bought him train sets before and it’s kind of been a hit and miss with him but he absolutely loves this playset and I have to say I love the coupling system on the engines that keep them from coming apart to easy so that I don’t have to be right beside “Bug” while he is playing to reconnect them when they come apart and they seem to be easy enough that he can connect them and disconnects them as he wishes!
I have to admit though I’m not a huge fan of trains myself, I do think that Chuggington is a really cute TV show and I really prefer my little man to watch it vs. some of the other kid shows on TV and I find myself watching it with him more than I do some of his other favorites. We have really had fun playing with the Training Yard with Loop Playset since it has arrived and in the past we have had motorized train sets that wasn’t strong enough to move the engines and especially if you added extra engines or carts to it but that wasn’t the case with this set everything works great and it doesn’t seem like it has any trouble at all pulling the engines and so far it’s launched the two die cast engines Wilson and Koko that we had with no problems.
We have really enjoyed having the Chuggington Training Yard with Loop Playset around the house and we have had countless hours of fun playing with it and even though it’s a child’s toy my husband and I have both found our self really enjoying playing with it!! I feel like this playset is a great representation of the Learning Curve Brand because it’s super high quality and so far it’s been very durable and super easy to put together and take apart to store and doesn’t take up much space in his toy box. We can’t wait to add the rest of the Chuggington die cast engines to “Bug’s” collection and some of the other playsets to connect with the Training Yard!
If you have a Chuggington fan on your shopping list this holiday season this playset from Learning Curve or any of the Chuggington toys from Learning Curve would make the perfect gift for Christmas or Birthdays!!
