The RedEnvelope Story
Launched in 1999, our mission remains to make gift giving for every occasion easy and fun.
The name RedEnvelope comes from a firmly held belief in Asian cultures that the color red is an auspicious symbol of happiness. Gifts are often presented in a simple red envelope - a timeless tradition that carries with it well wishes of prosperity, good fortune, appreciation and love.
In June of 2008, RedEnvelope was acquired by Provide Commerce, Inc. and incorporated into their portfolio of high-quality gifting brands. Other Provide Commerce holdings include Proflowers® which sells and delivers fresh cut flowers for everyday and special occasions, as well as Cherry Moon Farms®, Secret Spoon and Shari's Berries which deliver fresh fruit and sweets direct from growers and suppliers to customers.
Thank you for taking the time to visit us. We look forward to helping you celebrate all the special occasions and people in your life.
My Thoughts:
I was given the opportunity to choose a product of my choice from RedEnvelope to review and let’s just say with all the wonderful and unique item I had to choose from this was a difficult task but after discussing it over with my hubby I decided to go with the Two Days of Christmas that included a lovely mixed flower bouquet and a live potted Christmas tree with miniature decorations for review!
It was less then a week when the first of my two days of Christmas arrived at my door and it was the lovely mix flower bouquet along with a beautiful candy cane colored vase! My flowers arrived on Dec 18, 2010 and I’m extremely pleased to say that they are still looking pretty good on Jan 04, 2011!!! I followed the care instructions to the T and I’m very pleased with the results I’ve gotten from the flowers, they were/are simply beautiful and really added a Christmas feel to our Christmas dinner in their place of honor right in the middle of our families table! The mixture of red and white flowers were just spectacular and each and everyone of them were very healthy and bloomed so beautifully not to mention they smelled amazing! The flowers and vase arrived very well packaged and the flowers still had a very damp rag on them to keep them from drying out….and let’s just say this experience with RedEnvelope had totally changed the way I look at ordering flowers online, I’ve always feared they would be a mutilated mess when they arrived from shipping but my flowers arrived completely unharmed and intact!
The best part about this review is that I not only received a package one day, I also a package the very next day with the second day of Christmas which happened to be a beautiful live potted Christmas tree with miniature ornaments! You may not know it but for as long as I can remember I have begged to have a real Christmas Tree to decorate for Christmas each year but either my parents or my husband refused due to fire danger, but this year I really got to show them with my own little live potted Christmas tree and let me just say “Bug” and I had a blast decorating it once it arrived (in excellent condition, I must add)! The thing I love most about this tree is that once Christmas is over we can either plant it out in the yard and watch it grow or we can keep it potted in the correct size containers and keep it in the house for joy all year round and well our live tree for next Christmas! I am amazed at how easy it is to take care of this little guy, I only have to water it about once every 2-3 days and it just looks beautiful anywhere I set it in our home. But, now with Christmas behind us for another year we have decide to place it on our counter in our master bathroom which is decorated in deer and deer accessories so it looks great and fits right in!!
Bottom Line:
I am beyond thrilled with my experience with RedEnvelope and their customer service, shipping and of course the quality of their products we received! Not only did I get to display a beautiful Christmas bouquet and a beautiful live Christmas tree I also have been enjoying them both long after Christmas has pasted for a whole year!
I’ve spent quite some time checking out all that RedEnvelope has to offer and I have to say that if you are looking for that one of a kind unique gift for any occasion I highly recommend checking out the selection because I’m pretty confident that your going to not only find the perfect gift but your going to get some of the best customer service and shipping around! Oh, and don’t for get your sweethearts on Valentine’s Day that is certainly starting to knock on the door, RedEnvelope has you covered there as well!
