EasyLunchbox System Review and Giveaway
Do you, your spouse or maybe your children take their lunch to work or school everyday? Well, my husband does daily and to be honest we have has some debate about the best way for him to take his lunch, he prefers zip lock baggies and a brown paper sack, but I on the other hand prefer him to take a reusable container to help be more “green” and to cut down on the trash in his truck at the end of the week…that sometimes to be honest is really stinky! So when I was given the opportunity to review one of the EasyLunchBox Systems from EasyLunchBoxes.com I was very excited to get my husband started using eco-friendly lunch boxes!!!
About the EasyLunchBox System (taken from website) :
KELLY LESTER is the owner, creator, and mom behind Easylunchboxes.com and the host of the new musical web series “Let's Do Lunch!” Though she is a singer and actress who can also turn a mean cartwheel, juggling is not one of her skills — except, of course, when it comes to her personal life. During the last two decades she has also been an entrepreneur, wife, and mother of three. A graduate of UCLA's theatre department, Kelly has appeared in dozens of plays and musicals in the Los Angeles area. Kelly left show business for almost twelve years to found and run Art Plates, her own highly-successful gift manufacturing business and raise her three girls. Her handcrafted switchplates and soaps were sold in hundreds of museum stores across the country and direct to consumers via the Art Plates website.
After selling that business in 2006, Kelly defied the old adage that there are no second acts. In fact, sometimes there are actually many different acts. Since returning to performing, Kelly has appeared in a number of stage productions, films and TV shows. More about Kelly’s performing career HERE.
In her spare time, she enjoys listening to obscure musicals, and has an obsession with graphic design (especially fonts) and digital scrapbooking. When not in front of the computer, Kelly can be found in the kitchen preparing healthy lunches and dinners for her family (although she actually hates to cook and is actively engaged in teaching her daughters to take over the household culinary needs.)
Easylunchboxes.com was born out of Kelly’s innate ability to do things efficiently while on a shoestring budget, and her desire to send her daughters to school with simple, healthy food, with little to no extra packaging or ingredients. Her past struggle with weight control inspires her to teach and model healthy eating habits for her children, and has fueled her dedication to always send them off to school with a great lunch. Read about Kelly's healthy lifestyle on MOM TRENDS.
Kelly combined her self taught business-savvy with her natural inclination to think “what would other parents want?” — to develop the perfect lunchbox system. She is thrilled and proud to share her Easylunchboxes and lunch bags with other families who will benefit by their simple design, great price, and amazing functionality. Additionally, by promoting the waste-free lunch movement, EasyLunchboxes.com is helping the planet one lunch box at a time.
As a creative mom who knows how to makeover a lunch box, Kelly has been seen across the country in TV news segments featuring this topic.
Kelly has been married to actor Loren Lester since 1988. They live in Woodland Hills, CA with their three daughters, Jenny, Lily, & Julia, and their dog, Albany.
Our Thoughts:
We, well I should say Chad were/was sent an EasyLunchBox System in red to review and I was quite happy to see them arrive, so that he could have waste free lunches and would cut cost on baggies and brown paper bags! I immediately washed the containers up and got one ready for his lunch for the next day! Now, it did take him some time to come around to the idea he would actually have to bring the reusable container home vs. just throwing it in the trash, but after about a week of me staying on his tail he got better and now has no problem remembering to bring them home from work and actually in the house to be washed up for another use.
Chad has said that he now much rather have his eco-friendly lunch box than his usually paper bags and baggies. He has now started brining them in to be washed and I’ve actually caught him washing his own lunch containers out a couple of times since the EasyLunchbox system has arrived! We both really like that we can pack all of his or “Bug’s” lunch in one reusable container and each has three separate places for different foods, so they can have their sandwiches (or main dish), fruits or veggies and then a small desert and from what Chad has bragged about the containers they hold enough that many days he doesn’t eat all of his lunch, which wasn’t the case with his old method where he wouldn’t have enough to eat!
I know that we have all found the EasyLunchbox System very handy and we have all used it once or twice (well, except Chad who uses it everyday) since they have arrived! I also love that they can be put in the microwave so Chad can have a good hot lunch vs. his old cold sandwiches that he used to take daily and for me I love that they are dishwasher safe so it’s a whole lot less work for me to keep clean…call me lazy but I hate doing dishes by hand! The cooler also comes in very handy when Chad or I want to take a fresh fruit snack for lunch or if he wants to take a cold sandwich such as tuna to keep it just the right temperature so it doesn’t spoil, even if he forgets and leaves his lunch in his truck instead of taking it in and putting it in his shop fridge!
Bottom Line:
We could not be happier about making the change to a greener way for us all to take lunch as well as how much the EasyLunchbox System holds so that we are all sure to get full and not have to go searching for something else to eat. Since receiving our system I have noticed Chad is much more likely to actually eat the lunch he takes vs. going to a fast food restaurant to have a larger and warm lunch, which in turn saves us even more money :0)!!!!
If you are looking for eco-friendly lunchboxes that will help you go green, we all highly recommend the EasyLunchbox System for many reasons including cutting out unnecessary waist from lunch bags and zipper baggies and maybe even save some money on eating lunch at a restaurant or drive through!

Instead of an ice block, place a frozen juice box or water bottle in the lunchbag. It’ll keep the food chilled and will be thawed by lunchtime.

These are space-saving lunch boxes because they nest inside each other when not in use. They stack neatly on top of each other and take up very little space inside your refrigerator if you like to prepare lunches the night before
ReplyDeleteEven if you have a house full of picky eaters with individualized lunch menus or dietary restrictions, the different-colored lids make it easy to keep track of who gets what
