Pint Size Productions Customizable Board Book Review & Giveaway (“Bug’s” Birthday Bash)

I know I’ve said this a million times over the last few months but my little man love’s books, so I am always on the lookout for new and unique books to add to his ever growing collection! And of course with his birthday only a few short weeks away I really wanted to get him a super special book for his collection, so when I discovered the custom Board Books from Pint Size Productions, I knew that he would love the Are You a Cow book!

Once upon a time, in a cold and snowy land in upstate NY, a pint size plant sat and watched as printers from around the world made lots of wonderful board books for children. "Oh," thought the little plant. "If only I could make these charming books for children right here in Sanborn, New York, USA. " There would be no more waiting for overseas printing, lengthy and expensive shipping, worrying over meeting impossible deadlines, or dealing with Customs clearing.

So…the pint size plant put a plan together. He designed and built a special machine that could bind board books. He bought a large format multi-color offset printing press, a UV coater, a special die-cutter, and all sorts of other special equipment that would turn him into a very unique factory. A factory who could produce board books in all different page counts, trim sizes, and formats!

Still not satisfied, the little plant followed CPSIA and ASTM safety testing compliance laws on every product produced to be sure that everything would be safe in those adorable little hands. And…because the little plant was so competitive, he worked day and night until he could offer turn-around dates of three to six weeks. All right here in the great state of New York in the good, old U.S.A.!

Then, something truly amazing happened. The beloved children's book author/illustrator Sandra Boynton asked the pint size plant to make some of her board books for some very famous publishers. Now that was an offer too good to refuse! And then, because things just kept getting better and better, Ms. Boynton gave the plant his very own personalized board book title, ARE YOU A COW? Now, the little plant would be the only factory to be able to print and bind the first ever personalized board books on demand with photos and text uploaded by customers from all over the country! MOO BAA LA!!!!

"Wow!" thought the pint size plant. "I did everything I set out to do--offer safe, affordable, quality board books for children right here in their own backyards! Maybe someone should write a book about me!"

Our Thoughts:

We were given the opportunity to customize the “Are You a Cow” Board Book by Sandra Boyton for our little “Bug” and the whole process was extremely easy, all that was required from us was our little man’s name and two photos of him for the book and that was it…easy peasy right? Our book arrived super quickly and “Bug” was extremely excited when it arrived and wanted to set down and read it as soon as it was opened!

From my point of view as a mother this book is just extremely adorable!! I love that it’s a Board Book which makes it a whole lot harder for “Bug” to destroy it vs. the traditional paper books which doesn’t seem to last very long around here. This book is an extremely quick read and “Bug” was super excited and surprised when we finished the book asking if he was various animals to see his picture at end saying that he was a _______(his name)!!

Since receiving this book we have read it over and over again, making it one of his most read books! He loves it!! And that’s just point blank…he really enjoys reading it and I’ve noticed that he has started recognizing the words on the pages and can now pretty much read it by himself and that is just truly amazing!!! I have to say that not only is this one of “bug’s” favorite books but it is also one of my favorite books to read to him, since it’s so personal and unique. I think it made a wonder addition to his book collection and made a wonderful early birthday present!

We think the Board Books from Pint Size Productions are some of the most awesome books we have ever had the pleasure to review! I feel that children of all ages would love to have a custom book with their name and picture, what better way to get them to enjoy reading then actually putting them into the book itself???
