Rosle Apple/Pear Cutter Review & Giveaway

My little “Bug” loves apples….well just about every fruit for that matter but he is quite fond of apples both red and green, but to be honest it can get a little dangerous cutting up the apple in slices for snack time while having to keep my eyes on both “Bug” and our new puppy since they are into everything, so I’ve recently been looking into purchasing and apple cutter or peeler to make it easier and quicker on me to get back with my full attention to “Bug” so when I was offered the opportunity to review the Apple/Pear Cutter from Rosle I couldn’t have said yes fast enough!

About Rosle (Taken From Website):

Since 1888, Rösle has been using German engineering to produce the finest quality professional cooking tools and kitchen utensils for the professional chef and home cook. Designed for optimum performance, comfort and appearance, Rösle cookware offers a complete integrated system of kitchen utensils, cookware tools, colanders, casseroles, frying pans, skillets, barbecue utensils, barware and more. Made from the highest grade 18/10 stainless steel, Rösle will bring pleasure to food preparation that is guaranteed for a lifetime.

Pleasure Cooking
The Rösle brand stands for style in the kitchen and dining ambient. We are a manufacturer renowned for functional solutions and an emphasis on timeless design. Like more and more people we strive for concepts of real and lasting value and our RÖSLE Kitchen Utensils for preparing, cooking, roasting, boiling and storing food develop into supportive and reliable friends. Careful study and decision is evident in the important details. That's why each kitchen ladle has to pass through no less than ten production stages from initial raw material to the finished product. Smart and innovative solutions developed by RÖSLE continue to win increasing acclaim and recognition. A good example are our "Intelligent Utensils" — two single utensils that perform as perfect tongs once coupled together. Ease and ergonomic utility are also top priority and demonstrated well in a product such as the Garlic Press which even crushes unpeeled garlic cloves with a single press. Just one or two examples of many subtle yet important details. That may explain why RÖSLE has received high praise for its products and been presented with many prestigious international awards for design. The circle of loyal RÖSLE fans is growing steadily.

Stainless Steel - Superior Quality that offers you lasting service
RÖSLE products pass through elaborate manufacturing processes during production and only leave our premises after undergoing strict quality control. 18/10 stainless steel - superior quality, hardwearing and user-friendly material - is used in production Stainless steel is hygienic, neutral to flavors and odors, robust, decorative, easy-clean and environment friendly. The material can be quickly and easily kept in peak hygienic condition.

Innovation
RÖSLE's been manufacturing kitchen utensils for more than a hundred years for their clients — professionals and hobby cooks who enjoy cooking and take pride in their skills. Each year, an increasing number of our customers look forward to our new product developments and fresh ideas. Challenging expectations we keenly try to fulfill. We've tried to be attentive to market trends and demands. Some of our more recent innovations include the Onion and Vegetable Chopper, Locking Tongs, and Gourmet-Thermometer.

Our Thoughts:

We were sent an Apple/Pear Cutter to review and it wasn’t long after it arrived that my little man was wanting an apple and peanut butter for snack time so I was very excited to use my new apple cutter and let me just say it worked wonderfully and I was back to spending snack time with “Bug” rather than spending the time slicing and peeling the apple!

Here is a little about the Apple/Pear Cutter (taken from website):
Fruit or vegetables are divided into eight equal parts and the core is cut out separately. The wide handles give a good grip and ensure optimum transmission of pressure. Ideal for apples and pears as well as potatoes.

Ok, so we know it works great on apples but I didn’t want to stop there we usually have a Sunday dinner of beans, taters and cornbread so I decided instead of spending 25-30 minuets peeling and slicing the potatoes for fried taters I had my husband peel them and then I used my Apple/Pear Cutter to slice them into eight parts and it worked great, so it’s now my tater cutter too LOL, and let me also note that it makes wonderful home cut fries as well!!!

But, I bet yall are wondering about the clean up right? I know I was but it’s really quite simple I just rinse and put it in the dishwasher on the top rack and let it go and it’s come out nice an clean every time!

Bottom Line:
I’m loving having the Apple/Pear Cutter around our house not only does it make quick work of our apple slice snacks and fired taters and fries it’s really simple to use all you have to do is place over the apple or whatever you are cutting, press down and there you go your done and it’s very comfortable on your hands and has a wonderful little “lid” to place over the blades when not in use….then add in super easy clean up…what more could you ask for?

If you are searching for a gift for the cook in your family this little gadget would make a wonderful gift, stocking stuffer or addition to a gift basket this holiday season!!
