The one thing I can remember my mother always keeping in the house while my sister and I were growing up was a humidifier and she kept one in each of our bedrooms and a larger one in the living room/dining room area and to be quite honest I wasn’t quite sure why she made us use one up until I grew up and became a mother myself, and my son had some severe nasal congestion when he was born and the pediatrician recommended we pick one up and sure enough within what seemed like no time he was much better! Now with that said I love having the humidifier around but let’s be honest the traditional box shaped humidifiers are kind of an eye sore so when I got the opportunity to try one of the humidifiers the Crane offers I just had to say YES!
About Crane (Taken From Website):
Since 2005, Crane is the first to put the “fun” into functional ordinary looking cool mist humidifiers. Immediately we knew we hit upon a great concept!
While humidifiers are one of the best ways to relieve nasal congestion during cold and flu season, most people don’t break into a smile about the traditionally unexciting appliance. Crane USA Inc. is proud to introduce their uniquely designed adorable animal shaped cool mist humidifiers along with Crane's licensed humidifier designs such as Hello Kitty, Thomas the Tank and SpongeBob Squarepants.
Crane realizes that more than ever before people are looking to improve their health and their home environment. Crane is a company that recognizes these health concerns and people’s individual lifestyles.
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates indicate that indoor air pollutant levels may be as much as two to five times higher than outdoor levels. This fact is particularly troubling given that the American’s spend up to 90 percent of their time indoors.
Crane’s success with their humidifiers has allowed Crane to expand to air purifiers. Crane has introduced a line of AHAM certified air purifiers with a five step filtration system including a HEPA filter and UV germicidal light.
Crane is a subsidiary company of Wachsmuth & Krogmann. Established in 1797, Wachsmuth & Krogmann Inc. (W+K) steadily built its international network with affiliated manufacturing facilities in today's key production areas. To guarantee top quality products W+K operates an office in Hong Kong with Product Engineering and Quality Control Departments. W+K offices are situated in Germany, France, Hong Kong, and Chicago, USA.
We were sent the Drop Shape Humidifier in green to review and I have to say I could not wait to get it set up when it arrived at our door and it was interesting to see how “Bug” reacted to this new contraption!
Here is the specs on the humidifier before I get any farther in the review:
Cool Mist Humidifier Model # EE-5301G Whisper quiet operation Auto-off function when water tank is empty Variable mist output control Removable water tank Variable humidity control feature Power on light indicator Power: 32W Water tank capacity : 3.4 liter/ 0.9 gallon Running time per tank: min 11 hours Moist output: 2.3 gallon/ 8.7 liter per day Suitable room size: Approx. 250 sq.ft/ 23m2 FDA registered
Set up of the humidifier was extremely easy all I had to do was fill the water tank with the recommended amount of water place it in the base, plug it in and turn it to my desired level of mist and it was set to go and I was extremely surprised at the quietness of this humidifier our old, rather out of date humidifier was extremely loud and almost unbearable to sleep with it running but that is so not the case with our new Crane Humidifier!
We have been using it now for several weeks and I could not be happier with my decision to switch to Crane vs. our old brand! I use it mainly in the bedroom at night since my little “Bug” has some severe nasal congestion due to seasonal allergies and well I’ve been batting a nasty cold bug the last few days and I tell ya, having this humidifier running at night on the low setting has really made a difference in the way all of us sleep and our nasal problems! I also love the automatic shut off feature the humidifier has because I can go to sleep at night knowing that if it happens to run out of water then it will shut off unlike our old humidifier that would just keep running and making an awful noise.
“Bug” is simply intrigued with the humidifier not only does it look really cool but when turned on you can actually see the white mist or “smoke” as he likes to refer to it as, oh and I’m loving the adjustable top so I can point the mist in any direction it is needed!
We love our new Drop Shape Humidifier in green because not only does it make us breath easier it’s super easy to set up and refill and it’s very quiet and the little bit of noise it does make helps me drift off to sleep easier it seems ( I don’t sleep well in dead silence, but who knows why). We are also loving the stylishness of the humidifier because it looks great no matter where we need to use it so I feel comfortable placing it in any room of our home.
If you are looking for a stylish, quiet and functional humidifier look no father than Crane and help your family breath a little easier this cold and flu season….your nose will thank you :0)!
