34° Crispbread Review and Giveaway
I am a huge snacker and I snack on a daily basis even though I know I shouldn’t I sometimes can help myself and I’m always looking for new and unique foods to try and one day while searching around for a new type of cracker (I love crackers to snack on) I happened to come across 34° Crispbread and I was immediately attracted to their uniquely favored Crispbread and was really excited to be able to give each of their six flavors a try!
About 34° Crispbread (Taken From Website):
34 Degrees—What Does It Mean?
People always want to know how we got the name 34 Degrees. The answer is Sydney, Australia. Thirty-four degrees is the latitude of Sydney—the city where our company Founder Craig Lieberman discovered his passion for food and wine while attending grad school there. It’s also where he got his first taste of Australian crispbread, the inspiration for our thin and crispy crackers. In 2003, Craig launched 34 Degrees and began importing specialty foods from Australia. But like many long-distance relationships, this arrangement had its share of challenges. Eventually, Craig’s desire to bring his business and his love of food closer to home illuminated the need to take the company in a new direction. In 2008, he discontinued his importing venture to become a manufacturer focused exclusively on making 34° Crispbread in Boulder County, Colorado.
Mission
Simply to make the very best crackers that are as good on their own as they are with a little something extra — especially when that something extra is cheese. Taking pride and pleasure in what we do today, knowing that our creativity and commitment to innovation will elevate our customers’ enjoyment of 34° Crispbread tomorrow.
Quality Standards
Our bakery is not only the source of our favorite crackers; it is a source of pride. We are dedicated to maintaining the highest level of quality assurance. To ensure these highest standards of food safety, our bakery is gold certified and regularly audited by Silliker, the leading internationally accredited food testing and consulting network. We are also HAACP-certified (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
My Thoughts:
I was sent a box of each of the six varieties of 34° Crispbread: Natural, Sesame, Cracked Pepper, Rosemary, Lemon Zest and Whole Grain to review and I could not wait to start munching on them when they arrived on the door step!
The first of the six flavors I tried was the Sesame variety and I have to say my first thought about these Crispbread was I’m loving the shape and then the taste was amazing it was unlike any other cracker I had tasted before and I could not wait to start mixing it with different dips and such. I love to use the Sesame Crispbread at lunch time with my tuna it really gives a whole new flavor and texture to the tuna I’m used to but I just can’t get enough of these!
Next I gave the Cracked Pepper Crispbread a try and I’m one that has always enjoyed a little kick to everything that I eat and these were so perfect for me! I love the unique taste and texture of the Crispbread and this variety is wonderful all by itself just straight out of the box! This is probably one of my absolute favorites of the six varieties!
Next was the Lemon Zest Crispbread and these have a very nice lemon taste and I love to eat these when I feel like I need a sweet snack instead of grabbing chocolate or something high in sugar and such. I love eating these with fruit dip it really is fantastic!
Next came the Whole Grain Crispbread and this one is by far in the top of my favorites, I love any kind of whole grain crackers and breads so I had a feeling that I would really enjoy this flavor and I did, I love these! I eat these plain and with my spray cheese we keep in the pantry for “Bug” and of all the varieties we were sent this is the only one that he will eat!
I also tried the Rosemary Crispbread and this is one that I had to taste a few times to decide if it was one that I liked…and in the long run I find myself craving the Rosemary over the other varieties! I’ve enjoyed these alone and with herbed goat cheese and it’s really a unique and delicious treat!
The last variety I tried was the Natural Crispbread and once again this one is on the top of my list as well! I love these as a quick snack before bed while watching Ghost Hunters or some sort of Wrestling I don’t know why but those two shows really just need some sort of snack and the Natural Crispbread is my go to snack on those nights! I love these crisp with mustard spreads and you may call me crazy but with my pulled pork bbq!
Bottom Line:
I’m very pleased with the flavor and texture of all six varieties of the 34° Crispbreads that we were sent. To be honest they have really changed the way I look at my old plain crackers that I used to love snacking on and the why I’ve started snacking on crackers! I’m sure that from now on I will be keeping a few boxes of these little gems in my pantry for when I have a snack attack. I also served these crisp with a party platter at a family get together and I’m thinking they are a must have for the next party or get together!
If you are looking for a new unique way of snacking you should pick you up a box or two of the 34° Crispbreads and take your taste buds to the next level!
