Country Munchkins (Etsy) Halloween Spooktacular Event #5 Review and Giveaway

Moving right along on the Halloween Spooktacular Event to make this years Halloween the best ever her on The Cartoon Lovin’ Mama Blog, what would a Halloween event be with out candy!!! Right, it just wouldn’t be Halloween if we didn’t have some kind of sweet goodies so I set out to find some real Halloween goodies to feature right here during the Halloween Spooktacular Blog Event!

So, since I love everything handmade and really enjoy supporting artist that sell handmade I made a trip over to Etsy and happened upon Country Munchkins shop and knew that these suckers would make a perfect addition to our awesome Halloween Spooktacular and when Heidi agreed I was so excited to have her on board!

About Country Muchkins (Taken From Website):

Hello!
My name is Heidi, I am a stay-at-home mom of a toddler. He and my husband keep me busy, but I can always make time for crafts!

I enjoy making a variety of things including table cloths, aprons and whatever other sewing project sounds fun! I LOVE decorating cakes! I also do lots of baking and candy making, especially hard candy suckers. I love to cook, and I am always looking for new recipes!

During the summer I love to be outside. We go camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, and 4-wheeling whenever we can. I enjoy reading, so I always carry a good book with me. I grew up on a farm and love everything about country living.

I am always interested to hear the story behind some shop names, so here is mine...
When my mom was alive she ran a preschool with my aunt out of their garage. The name of their school was Kountry Munchkins. Since they aren't using it anymore I decided it would work perfect for my little shop! I changed the spelling, I hope she doesn't mind! :)

Our Thoughts:

I was sent a few of Heidi’s delicious heart shaped suckers to try out and they arrived super quick and they were packaged great and didn’t have a chip in them! We were sent a blue Tutti Frutti, an orange Peach and a red Cherry sucker and I have to say that I only got to try the tutti frutti sucker because “Bug” claimed the cherry and Chad claimed the peach before I had a chance to object!

I know for a fact that my sucker was absolutely delicious and it was almost to pretty to eat as the heart I think that these would make a wonderful bouquet for a birthday princess or just to have sitting on your kitchen table.

I have had handmade suckers before and don’t get me wrong they have all been really good but these were one of the best handmade suckers I had ever had! “Bug” truly enjoyed his cherry sucker as well and much to my surprise he ate the entire sucker (he usually ends up putting them in the carpet or on the table) so this was a great sign and Chad was very impressed with the peach sucker and said it tasted just like a fresh peach!

Bottom Line:

We truly enjoyed each of the three flavors we were sent and I think that suckers from Country Munchkins would liven up any party and make a wonderful centerpiece for any season! I’m seriously thinking about ordering some of her Halloween shaped suckers for our Halloween party we are having for the kids to create an awesome yummy centerpiece for our desert table!
