Scensibles Review and Giveaway

Have you ever walked into a public bathroom stall and turned right around and walked out because of used sanitary napkins, tampons and other “personal” type stuff lying all over the place? I know I have more than once and I for one think that is completely disgusting, I’m sure you will agree right? If I do have to dispose of one of my feminine care products in a public place I do all I can to make sure I do it in the most sanitary way possible and up until now I didn’t have many options but since I discovered Scensibles, and let me tell you I think they should be in every public and school restroom in the whole entire world!

About Scensibles (Taken From Website):

Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Pittsford New York, the SCENSIBLE SOURCE CO, LLC is committed to providing innovative and hygienic solutions for the disposal of feminine care products. The Company, a women-owned business, was co-founded by Ann Germanow and her husband John Germanow. SCENSIBLES sanitary disposal bags, the first product from The Company, provide a clean, easy, discreet way to dispose of feminine care products (sanitary pads, tampons, panty liners) in a public restroom, at a friend’s home, and in your own bathroom.

The Company has patents for the design and unique features of SCENSIBLES personal disposal bags including the EPA approved embedded antimicrobial agents, scent and style. The name, logo and tag line are all trademarks of the Scensible Source Company. SCENSIBLES sanitary disposal bag contents are manufactured to biodegrade in sanitary and composting landfills between 1 and 5 years. The Company’s second product line, introduced in March 2007, are stall sanitary napkin waste receptacle liner bags manufactured with embedded antimicrobial agents, scent and biodegradable components. The liner bags are a significant improvement over the commonly used ineffective brown waxed paper bags. The patent pending SecureFit 360 was designed by the founder and her father, a retired professional mechanical engineer, with the goal of properly lining the interior surface and concealing the soiled contents securely inside the disposable bag.

To respond to the demand from women requesting SCENSIBLES for home use, the Company introduced decorative consumer packaging in 2009. The stylish compact size box fits in a bathroom drawer, on the back of the toilet, or wherever feminine care products are stored at home. With thousands of boxes sold on-line, the Company is hoping to make SCENSIBLES available at grocery and drug stores in 2010.

The Company is advocating for a greater public understanding of the environmental and health risks associated with the improper disposal of feminine care products in public restrooms.

My Thoughts:

I was sent several samples of Scensibles scented bags for home use and they couldn’t have arrived at a better time! I have been using these over the past week and I love them! I like using them at home because they are so much cleaner than just rewrapping the sanitary pad in another used wrapper or toilet tissue, I much rather see the cute little pink bags in my bathroom trash than wads of toilet tissue and I’m very pleased that they help reduce the smell of well you know so I don’t have to take it to the main trash every time I need to dispose of feminine products.

I not only use these at home but I make sure to keep a few in my purse for when I’m away from home and I’m confident in using these bag when I’m in a public place or at a family or friends house to keep it clean. I’m also loving that these can be used for tampons because I hate to flush them down any toilet no matter where I may be.

Bottom Line:

I love Scensibles scented bags and I will never leave home without at least one of them in my purse or diaper bag! I truly believe that these could be the solution to the nasty public restrooms that we have been searching for and I think that every restroom should have a dispenser and some of the SecureFit360 Liner bags for the trash cans inside the stalls.

  1. I learned that they're a great way and a discreet way to dispose of feminine products. Sometimes there are not trash cans in the bathrooms and you don't want to be walking around with a feminine wrapper in your pocket. This is a great way to hide that in a cute and scented way
