Sock ’n Boots Review and Giveaway
You know by now that my little “Bug” loves books and loves to read and I love that that he loves to be read to and I do my best to find books that can teach him important lessons such as sharing, how to be safe and other really important lessons he needs to learn. I think reading is a great way to teach a child without creating a fear of the lesson. When I was given the opportunity to review a copy of Sock ‘n Boots Share book I knew that “Bug” would really enjoy it!
About Sock ’n Boots (Taken From Website):
What can two pieces of footwear teach a child? Just about anything. A loveable little gym sock and a wise young combat boot take center stage in this fun filled children’s book series.
The Sock ‘n Boots franchise of stories was created to not only teach young children valuable life lessons, but also to stimulate positive thinking while building a bond between parents and children or teachers and students. The goal of the books is to transform story time into an interactive bonding time.
Each Sock n’ Boots story begins with a question, then through the antics of the characters a lesson is taught that answers the question. Once the story is finished the question is posed again which opens the way for discussion and interaction.
We hope that children and parents alike will grow to love the Sock and Boots characters while building a bond through discussing the lessons that the stories present.
Happy reading!
D.K. Smith
Our Thoughts:
Since “Bug” loves reading so much he was thrilled when the book Sock ‘n Boots Share arrived at our door and immediately begin looking at it, I had my little niece at the time and they sat on the couch and looked at the book for a long time and that night I decided to make it our bedtime story, and I was both impressed with the story being short and to the point and had very beautiful illustrations!
I’m loving the moral of this story and that it shows how important sharing can be and how happy sharing can make both people and I think it’s a wonderful lesson to teach “Bug”.
Bottom Line:
We have both enjoyed reading this book and have read it several times since we received it in the mail and will continue to read it. Also I can’t wait to check out some of Sock ‘n Boots other story books.
I feel like Sock ‘n Boots are perfect for children of any ages and I think if you have a little one you should check them out!
