SurlyGirly Cosmetics Review Pt.2

Some of you may remember a post I did a week or so ago about an awesome cosmetic company I had recently discovered, but if not or you want a refresher you can check out pt. 1 of the review HERE!

Ok, so I’ve been a busy girl lately trying out new looks with each of the three eye shadows I received and if you don’t remember all of them here is a little bit about the colors I received:

Porn Star: Don’t let the name fool you this is a beautiful matte purple colored eye shadow and can be worn in many different ways to create some awesome unique looks!!

Drag Queen: Again this is my favorite out of the three eye colors I received to test it is a deep shimmering burgundy flecked with gold that I wear in almost everyone of my eye combos on a daily basis!

Jester: This is a very nice deep shimmering green eye shadow, and I’ve come to love it just as much as the other two, once I figured out what other colors would compliment it!!

Now onto a couple of looks I created either using one of the eye shadows mentioned above or a combination of them!

This first look I decide to use the Drag Queen in place of my regular black eyeliner, once I found out that I could use a eyeliner brush and damp it just a tad and use this as eyeliner I was hooked!! I absolutely love this color as an eyeliner and I will probably never go back to my traditional black eyeliner! I used Drag Queen as an eyeliner on my top lid close to my lashes and along my bottom lashes. I also then used it in place of my usual stick eyeliner on my upper and lower lids. I really can’t stress enough at how easy this glides on as an eyeliner, I have never been able to get such a flawless finish with a liquid eyeliner where I didn’t have to use 100’s of q-tips to get a somewhat straight line.

Next I coated my eyelid with the Jester eye shadow and in the very corner of my eyelid I lightly added some white eye shadow to lighten up the green just a little to make it more of a mint color. Next on the very outer corner I put some of the Drag Queen in the crease and very edge of my eyelid…leaving the dark green directly in the middle of the mint and Drag Queen colors. I then coated my lashes 3 times with my regular mascara and here is the finished look:

The Next look I decided to try that I really love is with the Porn Star eye shadow and for this look I used it as the eyeliner above and below my lash lines and used my traditional black stick eyeliner on the insides of my eye lids. Next I used the Porn Star eye shadow as the base and like before I swept a light coat of white over the inner most corners of my eyelid to make it much lighter and left the rest of the eyelid the original color! Here is my finished look:

I love this look for the simple fact that it’s super quick and easy to create and it looks great for any occasion!!

Check back soon for some new combinations of these awesome shadows as well as some of the lipsticks and glosses I received!!

And of course if you want to purchase you own SurlyGirly Cosmetics head on over to their online store and shop away!

This review is based strictly my opinion. Others may have a different opinion with the product listed above. I did receive the cosmetics mentioned above complementary for this review. No monetary compensation was received.
