I love to spend time pampering myself by painting my toe nails and fingernails but with a 2yr old little boy I don’t have much time to spend on myself, and when I do I have to be very careful with what products I can use around him incase he decides do get into it while mommy isn’t looking so when I stumbled upon Piggy Paint I knew I really wanted to give it a try!
About Piggy Paint (Taken From Website):
My name is Melanie Hurley, founder of Piggy Paint™. I am a stay-at-home mom with two very fancy little girls, ages 4 and 6, who love to have their fingernails painted. I’ve always hated the thought of my kiddos putting their hands in their mouths after I painted their nails with traditional kid polishes. Not only did the ingestion of the chemicals worry me, but the smell nearly left me light-headed after painting two sets of fingernails and toenails.
One day while we were painting nails over a foam plate, my daughter dropped a glob of her solvent-based polish onto the plate. Shortly after, the paint began to bubble and “ate” through the plate. I looked in dismay at the hole in the plate and decided to test all of her other “kid” polishes on the foam. Within minutes, ALL of the solvent-based polishes began to bubble and eventually left big holes in the plate. From that day on, I decided that any flammable substance that could eat through foam was unacceptable for my children’s fingernails, which would inevitably end up in their mouths.
My quest was on, and Piggy Paint™ was born. As you may have guessed, our polish is NOT flammable and sits beautifully on the unaffected foam. We hope you enjoy this water-based polish that is specially formulated of natural ingredients. Finally, a kid-friendly polish without the accompanying drawbacks of traditional polishes. It is free of formaldehyde, toluene, phthalates, biphenyl A, ethyl acetate and acetone... and made in the USA!
From my heart to yours, I hope Piggy Paint™ takes the worry out of painting your nails and puts the fun back into this enjoyable activity you can share with your daughter and other precious girls in your life.
Piggy Paint™ is specially formulated from God’s natural ingredients and dries to a hard, durable finish. There are no toxic chemicals; it’s free of formaldehyde, toluene, phthalates, Bisphenol A, ethyl acetate and acetone. Click here to see how our polish compares!
Say good-bye to harsh, smelly chemicals and hello to Piggy Paint™…it’s as Natural as Mud!
I was sent a bottle of Forever Fancy Piggy Paint and a bottle of the Nail Polish Remover to review and I was very excited to give these to products a try!!
First up I put the Nail Polish Remover to the test, removing my current black toenail polish and I was very pleased with the odor of the remover it wasn’t harsh and didn’t burn you nose like other removers I’ve bought and used in the past and it removed the black polish from my nails very effectively! I love this remover I now feel safer while using it when my 2yr old is around because it’s a low odor, hypoallergenic nail polish remover and I don’t have to worry about the odor burning his nose or causing him any problems.
Next I applied the Forever Fancy Piggy Paint polish to my toenails and I’m very pleased with the results it didn’t take but 2 coats to even the color out and look gorgeous! And unlike other nail polishes I’ve used it didn’t have a strong burning odor and was to me less messy and runny as some of the others. I would truly feel more comfortable putting this polish on a small child’s fingers or toes vs. some of the other polishes on the market today!
I’ve been wearing the Piggy Paint Polish on my toes now for about 14days and I’ve not had one chip other than the day after painting them and going swimming in the lake and I stumped my big toe on a rock under water and naturally any nail polish would have chipped but it only took seconds to fix once we got home!
I’m a true believer in Piggy Paint and I think it’s wonderful that now us mothers, aunts, grandmothers or anyone else involved with a small child can now feel safe doing something all of us girls like to do painting their nails :0)!!!
