HEXBUG Crab Review

My little man “Bug” is real into anything creepy and crawly so it’s no surprise that even when it comes to robotic toys he generally gravitates to the creepy and crawly types. Ever since we attended an Easter dinner and egg hunt at a family members house this year and “Bug” seen her boys HEXBUG Nanos and Inchworms he has been bitten by HEXBUG fever! Now every time we visit our local Wal-Mart he immediately starts begging to go get another HEXBUG Nano or one of the other creatures that he hasn’t managed to add to his collection yet, so as you can imagine when HEXBUG agreed to let “Bug” pick out one of their creatures to review he was very excited!

About the HEXBUG Crab (taken from website):

Our Thoughts:

From the day let “Bug” pick out the creature he wanted to review from HEXBUG he waited patiently by the door every morning for the mail lady to come and deliver his Crab and to him I’m sure it seemed like a life time but it actually arrived very quickly!

Once it arrived “Bug” couldn’t wait to get it out of the package and get to playing with it. He immediately named it Mr. Crabs…..hum….wonder where he came up with that one from??? I have to say that “Bug” for his age of only three is very good when it comes to his robotic type toys and he is very easy on them and takes good care of them and I know nine and ten year olds that can trash one within just a few days of having them. But anyways, once the Crab was loose and “Bug” was chasing it across the kitchen floor.

The Crab has quickly became one of “Bug’s” favorites in his ever growing HEXBUG collection. I myself think that these little critters are not only really cute and I myself have found playing with them extremely fun and I wouldn’t mind having me my own collection of HEXBUGS to compete against “Bug’s” critters! I have to say that our favorite part of the Crab has to be the fact that it will crawl a little ways and then stop and go again just like a real crab would on a beach somewhere!

“Bug” has had his Crab HEXBUG for a few weeks now and plays with it several times a day and he does really well making sure he turns it off after he is done playing with Mr. Crabs and I have been very impressed at the life of the little batteries in these HEXBUGS as much as he has played with them we have yet to have to replace any of their batteries!

Bottom Line:

In my option I think HEXBUGS are awesome little critters and even though I’m an adult I myself really enjoy watching them run around and well I guess you could say I’m simply amazed at how life like these little guys actually are. And as you might could have guessed “Bug” loves them and I am pretty sure he will be continuing to collect them for quite a while even though he already has quite a collection.

I think HEXBUGS would make a wonderful gift to any little boy or girl who enjoys robotic type toys or creepy, crawly critters. These little guys would make wonderful Birthday gifts and with the holidays only a few months away it’s certainly not to early to start thinking about Christmas gifts!
