We are currently in the process of potty training our 2year old little man and at time it is quite the challenge, but we have gotten lucky and he is now using the big boy potty more than he is his pull-ups!! I was recently contacted by Monica from Little Looster asking if I would like to do a review on the Little Looster and I was quick to agree!
About Little Looster (Taken From Website):
Little Looster LLC is a Portland, OR based business. The Looster itself was conceived and designed by Monica Mylet, a mother of 3. She came up with the design and need after parenting 3 kids through the potty training process.Just about every aspect of the Looster's life cycle from birth-of-concept to design and manufacturing was completed by Oregon based companies.
Looster is revolutionizing potty training. Our landfills and our pockets could use the change.
The Little Looster - Booster for the Loo is a horseshoe shaped stool that surrounds the base of your toilet, creating a pedestal for children to be supported while they sit on the loo. We can all say goodbye to the port-a-potty, toilet seat inserts, diapers, stress, apprehension, accidents and the lack of space in our bathrooms.
All children will eventually use the “big-potty” – WHY not start kids on it comfortably? Save the extra expense and mess that comes with the space-consuming porta-potty. We have been able to shave off months of diapering by creating a comfortable and safe experience on the loo.
Toddlers believe they might “fall-in” – WHY not give them the security and confidence that the stability of the Little Looster provides. Little Looster kids use their legs for support, alleviating that fear of falling in. Hands no longer need to grip the germ-ridden, inner rim.
No cleaning out the temporary port-a-potty. Flushable waste is the obvious sanitary option.
The Little Looster supports and boosts little legs, while potty training AND for the next 2-3 years that toes can’t reach the ground. No more “stinging” sensation when legs fall-asleep, from dangling unsupported off the sides of the toilet - little legs love the Little Looster.
No more hassle. Parents don’t move the Little Looster every time they need to use the loo. Our unique design allows adults full use of the toilet while standing or sitting, without ever moving the Little Looster.
The average family in the US is spending approximately $75/mo on disposable diapers & wipes and over 92% of those are ending up in our landfills. No one really knows how long it takes for a disposable diaper to decompose, it is estimated somewhere between 250-500 years. The statistics are staggering as I'm sure you are all well aware of. The Little Looster is made of plastic which is 100% recyclable after your many years of use.
The Little Looster can cut out months of this environmental mess and huge cost to families.
Our Thoughts:
I was super excited about being offered the chance to review the Little Looster since we are trying to potty train “Bug”! The moment it arrived he was absolutely amazed at this “toy” so after explaining to him it wasn’t a new toy it was for him so he could set on the big boy potty I took it to our bathroom and put it in front of the potty and it wasn’t long before he was up sitting on the potty and his feet was resting on the Little Looster and I think at that moment he knew he could finally use the potty like mommy and daddy!
We have been using the Little Looster for a few weeks now and I am very pleased with the results he really has been using the fire out of it and it has made him WANT to use the potty which is wonderful for us! He also uses it to stand on to pee pee so he can reach the potty without standing on his tippytoes and without mommy’s help so it gives him the independence that he thinks he just has to have since he lives in an “I’m big enough to do it myself” world. It’s also came in very hand for him to use as a stool to brush his teeth and has encouraged him to do so without the usual fight.
Overall we are very, very pleased with the results we have gotten from him using the Little Looster and I do recommend everyone that is trying to potty train to pick up one of these it makes it so much easier for the kiddos and it gives them the independence that I think is very important for the process of potty training. And priced at just $39.99 its well worth it and you will be getting your money back in the price of pull-ups once your kiddo is fully potty trained and be sure to think about Little Looster when shopping for a birthday gift for a kiddo ages 1-2 it would be perfect!!!
