Vitalicious Review and Giveaway
I don’t know about all of you but I’m constantly saying that I want to eat better and exercise more and just well plain ol’ get healthier! And as we all know that it’s not just the easiest thing in to world to do once you are set in your own ways of sweets and other not so healthy goodies, but I recently came across a great company that helps that by promotes a healthy lifestyle without all the downfalls of yucky tasting foods!
About Vitalicious (Taken From Website):
Vitalicious® Inc. is the market leader of innovative "vital and delicious" baked goods that promote a healthy lifestyle, without sacrificing taste. First to market with 100-calorie servings, Vitalicious® is leading the way to a holistic approach to maximize satisfaction with minimum calories, with products that are low fat and high in fiber and nutrients. Vitalicious® has created a unique triangle of need-satisfaction (All-Natural ingredients + Nutraceuticals + Weight Management), the only baked-goods company in this niche. Founded in 1999, Vitalicious® creates and sells a variety of unique, healthy, value-added baked goods under the VitaMuffin™, VitaTop™, VitaBrownie™, VitaCake™, and VitaMuffin Mix™ trademarks. Vitalicious® products are now sold at stores nationwide and at www.vitalicious.com (www.vitalicious.ca for Canadian Residents). Here at Vitalicious® our mission is simple: to make healthy and delicious baked goods that are fortified with essential vitamins and minerals.
What are Nutraceuticals?
Nutraceuticals are foods that are enriched with the kinds of vitamins and minerals that are important for maintaining health and preventing illness. In the last few years, the number of Americans who are grabbing breakfast on the run or eating it at their desk is surging. So, there is a need for healthy, vitamin-fortified baked goods that you can eat quickly, but still get 100% of essential vitamins and minerals every morning -- while enjoying a delicious, oven-baked breakfast on-the-go. Each and every Vitalicious® baked good has been created to bring you the most nutritional benefits possible. Essential vitamins and minerals have been specifically chosen to help performance throughout the day, and to build strength and wellness in the future as well. We've developed four different VitaMuffins™, and much more is on the way. Our long term mission is to create baked goods that are healthy in many more ways than just being vitamin-enriched -- that provide high fiber and low calories, without any fat, as well as crucial poly-unsaturated fatty acids (known as "good fat") and protein.
Why Vitamins?
As you know, lots of breakfast cereals are fortified with important vitamins and minerals. That's because doctors and nutritionists know that getting 100% of your recommended daily requirements of essential vitamins and minerals is key to staying strong and healthy. But many people today simply don't have the time for a sit-down meal in the morning... That's why every variety of VitaMuffin is fortified with as many as 15 of the crucial vitamins and minerals you need, including folic acid, niacin, iron, calcium, vitamins A, B, C, E and more! In fact, you'll notice something on every VitaMuffin package you don't normally associate with tasty baked goods: a nutritional information chart. That's because 4 oz. serving of VitaMuffins are USDA certified to have 100% of the recommended daily adult requirements of many of the most important vitamins and minerals.
Our Thoughts:
We were sent a Super Sampler from Vitalicious to review and as I stated earlier I’m constantly on the look out and trying new products that help me live a healthier lifestyle but man I tell ya some of the products I’ve tried in the past have really, really been yucky and my husband won’t try anything he thinks may remotely be healthy for him with out an all out brawl! So when we got our super sampler and let it set in the fridge for a while I just had to try them! I was really amazed by the taste these things are really yummy and even tho I didn’t let my hubby know that they were actually good for him he has really enjoyed them as well! We have started out our day with a nice warm Vitatop and we all agree that we will be keeping these around the house because not only are they good for you they are really yummy too! My two year old “Bug” even asks for them as a snack sometimes and that for me is awesome because usually he is wanting some kind of junk food and at least this way his sweet tooth gets satisfied and it’s not full of the not so good for you stuff!
