Barefoot Books Review and Giveaway
My son loves books and loves to have them read to him, but sometimes it’s hard for us to find a book that has pictures and is a quick read that will hold his attention very long. We make a trip to our local book store about twice a month looking for new and different books to keep him interested in reading and so he can have something different. I recently discovered Barefoot Books and their selection is absolutely wonderful!
About Barefoot Books (Taken From Website):
Explore. Imagine. Create. Connect. Give Back. That’s what Barefoot Books is all about. It’s exploring other cultures, our planet, ourselves. It’s making time for make-believe and letting imaginations run wild and free. Most of all, it’s about using the power of stories to nourish the creative spark in everyone and strengthen connections with family, the global community, and the earth.
Barefoot Books began with two mothers who wanted their children to have books that would feed the imagination, while instilling a respect for diversity and a love of the planet. Today, we are a world-wide community of writers, artists, storytellers, musicians, and others who are committed to providing timeless stories and captivating art that can help children become happy, engaged members of a global society.

Our Thoughts:
“Bug” was sent a few books to read and do a review on and I love that all three books we were sent are board book so that he wont tare the pages out while trying to read them himself and as he grows and learns how to read each of these books are going to be great to help teach him on since they are quick and easy reads.
The first book we reviewed was Cleo’s Alphabet Book and I love this book because it’s a super easy read for bed time but also a great tool in teaching “Bug” his alphabets by helping him learn to recognize them and to use them in a particular word! I also enjoy the colorfulness of the book and it really keeps his attention while we are reading it to him.
The next book we reviewed was Who’s in the Garden? “Bug” really enjoyed this book because it is a peek-a-boo book that has a hole in each page that allows an animal from the previous or and next page to show up on the current page and he really enjoyed that as well as looking at all the different animals on the page and the pictures are very lovely and eye catching to keep his attention!!
The last book we reviewed was One Moose, Twenty Mice and this is “Bug’s” favorite of the three books and I love it because not only does it help him learn to count to twenty it also offers him a game to play while reading the book which is to find the cat on each page until you get to the end of the book! He will set and look at the book by himself and ask me “where’s the cat” and I say I dunno where is it and he will think about it for a minute and then point it out. I think this is also a wonderful book to help him challenge his memory on where the cat is!
Overall we are extremely pleased with the selection of books we received to review and it was awesome the selection they sent that matched his taste in books so perfectly! I recommend anyone with children of any age to check out Barefoot Books because you are sure to find a perfect book or books for the child in your life no matter the ages or interest! We will be purchasing Barefoot Books for years to come!!!
