Melville Candy Company Review

As you may know I’m a little crazy when it comes to chocolates, candies and when they mix it really makes me go a little more crazy than I already was for them…..then you want to add to the combination and make it a handmade candy with chocolates and candies….well then I’m officially in sweets heaven. Since I started blogging a couple of years ago I’ve gotten to review some pretty unique candy and chocolates but I was recently given the opportunity to review some sweet treats from Melville Candy Company and I have to say I couldn’t pass it up after checking out their amazing and unique selection of candies!

About Melville Candy Company (taken from website):

Tucked in the back of the Route 3 Industrial Park in Weymouth, the Melville Candy Co. has been around in various locations since 1978, when Melville's father, Gary, launched the business from his Quincy home.

The candy has been sold by vendors like Crate & Barrel, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Bloomingdale's and the Excalibur Casino in Las Vegas.

Former Massachusetts Gov. William Weld took 200 of the cherry-flavored lobster pops to children in Hokkaido, Japan, in 1991.

Melville's heart-shaped lollipops are featured on the cover of the February issue of Better Homes and Gardens magazine.

Our Thoughts:

We were given the opportunity to choose a sweet treat from Melville Candy Company and I have to say it was quite a chore to choose only one items since they have so many oh, so yummy looking sweet treats, but we did all finally agree on the Chocolate Smore Marshmallow Cupcakes!

Our Chocolate Smore Marshmallow Cupcakes arrived very quickly and was packaged super well, not to mention when I opened the box and took them out the boxes they came in as a set of 4 was simply classic and beautiful! I decided to use them to help decorate our entertainment center for Christmas since I was sent 4 packs of 4 cupcakes each they made a beautiful Chocolate Smore Marshmallow Cupcakes bouquet and I have to say all of our guest sure did enjoy them both the way they looked as the bouquet and of course the way they tasted!

I actually got the first taste this time and I have to say that the flavor of these yummy Chocolate Smore Marshmallow Cupcakes is very unique and it’s delicious, unlike anything I’ve ever tasted before, it really did favor the taste of a campfire roasted smore! Once I got my first bite, I had a real hard time not eating all 16 of these babies all by myself but I did make myself share and both “Bug” and Chad was raving about these once they got their first taste. I’m sorry to say though that they didn’t last but about a week in my beautiful bouquet I made with all of our holiday family and friends coming and going and everyone wanted to try one because they were so unique and everyone raved about the taste and wanted to know where they could score some of these babies for their own!

Melville Candy Company offers a whole lot more than just the Chocolate Smore Marshmallow Cupcakes so I want to take a minuet to make your mouth water like mine when I was searching for the perfect review item!

Like oh say these adorable and yummy looking Snowflake lollipops, these would also make a beautiful bouquet as a centerpiece.

I’m also really itching to try the Old Fashioned Molasses Puff Candy!!!

Bottom Line:
We have all really enjoyed having the Chocolate Smore Marshmallow Cupcakes around and we are sad that they are all gone and we are getting ready to try some of their other yummy cupcakes and candies in the very near future we just have to decide what to order to try next!

If you are looking for delicious and unique treats for an upcoming event like birthdays, weddings, baby showers or just whatever we totally recommend the candies and lollipops from Melville Candy Company! Trust us your taste buds will be thanking you and begging for more!
