As you know “Bug’s” birthday is quickly approaching and the one thing I was really looking for to help celebrate his big day was something that is a toy and fun to play with but is also a great learning tool so when I discovered Educational Insights and seen their amazing selection of fun yet educational products I was super excited when I was offered the opportunity to choose an item for “Bug” to review.
About Educational Insights (taken from website):
Based in Southern California, Educational Insights, is the manufacturer of playful products with serious educational value, including subject-specific classroom products, teacher resources, educational toys, and games. Our products are designed by seasoned educators and parents who know that, first and foremost, learning must be fun.
We were sent the Playfoam 12-Pack to review and I think I was just as excited as “Bug” was to see it arrive. Now, “Bug” is a lot like me when it comes to loving to do hands on creative crafts and games so I knew that the Playfoam would be a huge hit with him and I was defiantly not wrong.
He immediately went to playing and building with the Playfoam once it arrived! I knew he would like it but I had no idea that it would keep his little hands and mind so busy for so long…it was really awesome to sit and create with him and watch his imagination run wild and some of the awesome things he created! I’m sorry to say though that the Playfoam didn’t say separated in the 12 individual colors very long since he loves to mix everything he gets his hands on that can be mixed so we now have huge bucket of multicolored Playfoam…but that’s ok because we are still using it to create and have a blast.
Since it arrived a few days before Christmas, “Bug” has played with it daily! I will admit to that I have quite enjoyed having the Playfoam around and I’m so glad we chose it to review because it has really helped to incorporate “Bug’s” imagination into our daily learning play! We have created all kinds of cool things from the Playfoam such as a cit for all his cars to drive around in complete with buildings and all, a teddy bear, dinosaurs and well it’s just really been endless and everyday he discovers he can create something new just like today…he realized he could take his favorite action figure and make it a wresting suite out of the Playfoam! The absolute best thing about the Playfoam is that it’s super easy to clean up and never dries out so that it’s always ready when he gets ready to create!
We love our Playfoam and I wish we would have discovered this earlier….I have to say it’s one of the best activities we can do as a family and it’s great to let our imaginations run wild with each other and the creation possibilities are endless!!!! I think every child should have some Playfoam to create with…and as a parent I highly doubt you will ever be sorry!
If you are looking for a fun and educational gift for a special little one “Bug” gives the Playfoam two thumbs up!!!
