Flipper Review and Giveaway (“Bug’s” 3rd Birthday Bash)

Do you have a hard time keeping your or your children’s toothbrushes clean and sanitized? Well, if you said yes, have I got a product I’m super excited about sharing with you today. Since, “Bug” is turning 3 this coming Monday I felt that the Flipper would make a wonderful addition to his Birthday Bash! With his toothbrush being on the small side, I’ve found it hard to find a way to keep it safe and clean so that I don’t cringe when we brush his teeth of the morning or at night. I’ve tried several different toothbrush holders that claim to keep them sanitary and clean but the problem I’ve found with his toothbrush is that it is way to small to fit well in the holders and they still manage to get dirty. So when I was given the opportunity to review the Flipper, I was excited but when I found out they offered the Dino Egg, I got even more excited and I knew “Bug” would love it!

About Flipper (taken from website):

About Flipper and How it works!
Flipper is a unique and patented product. Its functionality derives from its simple, but ingenious open and close mechanism. While other toothbrush holders in the market place open and closes manually, the Flipper toothbrush holder opens and closes with the stroke of the toothbrush.
Moisten the Flipper's suction cups with water and press them firmly against the bathroom mirror, tile or glass.
With your index finger, reach under the Flipper, push the small tab to the left which will push the two halves of the body apart.
Insert the toothbrush head into the open body.
Press against the back of the two halves and the Flipper will automatically snap shut. There are no springs or any other gadgetry. In fact, you should feel free to take the body apart to examine how it works. It really is a simple ingenious invention.
To remove your toothbrush pull it towards you. The Flipper will automatically pop open to release the toothbrush head!

Why Flipper?
Most people store toothbrushes either in their bathroom cabinet or on a countertop.
Every time you flush, droplets of contaminated water spray into the air landing on bathroom surfaces and items on the countertop, such as toothbrushes.
Experts say that you should not let your toothbrush make contact with other toothbrushes. This is a quick and easy way of passing along the common cold and other diseases.
Flipper provides a great, secure storage solution away from harmful germs. The cap's side vents allow in just enough air flow for bristles to stay clean and dry.
Flippers are large enough to accommodate almost every type of toothbrush on the market including those with fat handles.
Its amazing suction-strength can even handle electric toothbrushes while staying gripped to a mirror, tile or most other smooth surfaces.
Unlike other toothbrush holders that are attached with permanent adhesive strips, the Flipper can be moved anywhere at any time.
Easily converts into a travel case to keep brushes safe from other toiletries and keeps your toothbrush away from harmful germs and dirt while traveling.

Flipper Meets ADA and CDC guidelinesStore the brush in an upright position if possible.
Allow the toothbrush to air-dry until used again.
Keep brushes separated to prevent cross-contamination
Do not allow the toothbrushes to contact each other.
Do not store them in closed containers. Such conditions (a humid environment) are more conducive to bacterial growth than the open air.

Flipper meets every guideline for toothbrush care established by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the American Dental Association (ADA)

"The easiest way to protect your toothbrush is by using a toothbrush cover. Splattering water, contact with skin, and toothbrushes knocking against one another are all circumstances that contribute to the spread of bacteria."

Hygiene & Maintenance
Dentists recommend changing your toothbrush every 3 months, and while we are here to encourage you to collect every Flipper design, our Flippers are made to last! To keep your prized Flipper in tip- top condition, we recommend you give the body a good wash at least once a month.
Dismantle the two halves from the rear bracket
Soak and clean the two halves in a soapy solution (Flipper is also dishwasher safe)
Snap back onto bracket after drying
Suction Cup Maintenance

In the event that the suction cups deform or lose their suction ability, submerge the suction cups in hot water at around 176 F to regain the original shape of the cup.

Our Thoughts:

“Bug” was sent the Gigano Dino Egg toothbrush holder to review. When his holder arrived he was super excited to find out the mail was for him and then when he seen the Dino Egg he just went ecstatic! This boy loves anything to do with dinosaurs, so naturally I felt we had made the right choice by going with the Dino Egg holder! We immediately took the holder apart and put it in the dishwasher to make sure it was nice and clean for his brand new toothbrush!

After washing the toothbrush holder and putting it back together we decided to put his new toothbrush in. The process was extremely easy and I’m happy to report that “Bug” can now put his toothbrush in his very own holder all by himself. All he has to do is push the little tab on the back of the holder for the two halves to open and simply just push against the back of the two halves for the holder to snap closed and your done, and your toothbrush is safe from all those nasty airborne germs and dirt particles!

Since receiving our Flipper my son has really adjusted to putting up his toothbrush in what he calls it’s clean home and it makes me feel much better about what he is putting in his mouth when it is time to brush his teeth. My husband and I are both thinking about getting our own Dino Egg toothbrush holders to keep our toothbrushes in so we can have all three of these cute little Dino Eggs hanging our bathroom mirror!

Bottom Line:

“Bug” loves his new toothbrush holder and has been using it wonderfully, and just between me and you I think putting the toothbrush into the Dino Egg is his favorite part of brushing his teeth! The routine cleaning of the Dino Egg holder is super easy, I wash it once a week with the dishes in the dishwasher and it works wonderfully and has held up great with no flaking, melting or anything else that you may expect from a toothbrush holder.

If you are looking for a fun and easy way to keep your toothbrushes clean and sanitary and spicing up your bathroom with a cute little Dino Egg, Animal, your favorite NFL team, Puppy, Bean or Hello Kitty Flipper, you should defiantly check out the adorable selection of super cool toothbrush holders at Flipper.
