My Storytime Friends Review

I want to start off by saying a huge thank you to My Storytime Friends for providing Zane and I a My Storytime Friends Kit free of charge for this review.

What is My Storytime Friends? (taken from website)

My Storytime FriendsTM combines the things children love--books, animals, and fun-- to help them see what’s possible in life. Little ones love to think about "What I want to be when I grow up." Our key messages of empowerment over adversity, attaining dreams, and aspiring for the future are simpler than they sound. Our stories bring it all to life with cheerful characters, rich illustrations, and realistic dialogue that families can enjoy together.

My Storytime FriendsTM is devoted to ensuring children’s safety as they enjoy and learn from our products. All items we produce exceed the most current child-safety standards in the United States and the European Union for children aged 3 and older. This means that each teddy bear, each piece of accessory clothing, and each printed book has been tested at every level of production and found to meet all of the latest requirements in the U.S. and the E.U., the regions where child-safety standards are strictest worldwide. The materials (fabrics, dyes, fasteners, etc.) and assembly methods of our products comply with ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) International standards under the most current 2009 U.S. guidelines for lead, effective under the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act. We are committed to your child’s well-being--and your peace of mind--in every regard.

Our Thoughts:

We were blessed to receive a My Storytime Friends Kit that included a lt. brown plush bear, the book A Winning Dream by Andrew Wolfendon and illustrated by artist Berne Williams and a code to use at mystorytimefriends.com.

Zane really loves the plush bear that came in the kit. He keeps it with him almost all the time and it’s a must for trips overnight to grandma’s house. We both really enjoy the book A Winning Dream because its easy for us to read together and teaches Zane such an important lesson that winning is always everything, and I think that is one of the most important thing to teach a child before they start school and begin getting involved in sports and other activities. I’m sure that this book will be a must read at bedtime for many nights to come it seems to be one of his favorites and as he gets older I think it will make more sense to him and teach him that oh so valuable lesson.

But the book and the bear aren’t all there is a code that comes with them that gives you unlimited online access to:

• Narrated online flip-book version of the Book of the Month
• Printable colored PDF copies of each Book of the Month story plus black and
white versions for coloring. Hardcover copies of the books are available to members for just $6.95 with free shipping included.

• Access to educational, interactive activities on MyStorytimeFriends.com as well as additional offline activities for children and workbooks for parents.
• Audio-book version of each story

Additional Online Benefits:
• Children can catch up on their Storytime Friends between books by visiting the Newsstand.

• Kids can interact with characters from the stories by sending and receiving mail through the Post Office.

My overall personal thoughts of My Storytime Friends are I think it’s a wonderful idea and I highly recommend them to everyone! I also think the online benefits are wonderful and the lifetime membership is great for the kiddos as they grow and learn it’s something that will grow along with them to help tech them strong important lessons.
