PeaceLoveMom Review and Giveaway

I think that it’s just absolutely wonderful when I come across a company and/or products that are directed towards mothers! Because you know truly they are very important people in this old world so being able to recognize all they do for their children are very special that’s why I was so excited to be introduced to PeaceLoceMom.com! What is PeaceLoveMom you may ask well here is a little piece about them that I’ve taken from their website:

After a while browsing around their shop and looking at their one of a kind shirts and other items they offer for moms and kiddos I decided that I would love to share them with you here on my blog! I really love the designs they offer and their children’s and baby items are just really too cute!

I have to say I love this shirt it’s so comfortable and I’m able to wear it alone or layer it on cooler days and I love love love the fact that I can even wear it out in early spring because it’s light enough but warm enough for the cooler spring mornings. I don’t use the dryer to dry my good shirts I’m afraid of shrinkage but for review purposes I went ahead and held my breath and threw it in the dryer and to my surprise and delight the shirt didn’t shrink an inch and still fits so well! I give these shirts 2 thumbs way up for durability and style! I have received many compliments on the shirt and everyone wants to know where they can get one!!!

My Storytime Friends Review

Zane really loves the plush bear that came in the kit. He keeps it with him almost all the time and it’s a must for trips overnight to grandma’s house. We both really enjoy the book A Winning Dream because its easy for us to read together and teaches Zane such an important lesson that winning is always everything, and I think that is one of the most important thing to teach a child before they start school and begin getting involved in sports and other activities. I’m sure that this book will be a must read at bedtime for many nights to come it seems to be one of his favorites and as he gets older I think it will make more sense to him and teach him that oh so valuable lesson.

Rockabye Baby Review

Ever wish your little one could listen to the same Rock-N-Roll music as you but you’re a bit afraid of letting them listen to the hard rock beat that accompanies many of the best Rock bands ever? Well I know I was I really wanted to pass down my love of Rock-N-Roll to my son but I was afraid that I would hurt his little ears even with the music way down so I reframed from listing to it in the car and other enclosed areas where I though it may hurt his ears.

But do I have a treat for all you Rock-N-Roll loving Mommies out there! I have ran across an awesome company called Rockabye Baby! My son and I was lucky enough to get to review two on the Rockabye Baby CDs in the collection we were sent the Lullaby Renditions of Guns N’ Roses and Lullaby Renditions of Journey and I have to say I absolutely loved them! I listened to the Guns N’ Roses first and you can defiantly tell each of the songs and they are all played so beautify without the heaviness of drums and guitars! Zane loves this CD was his pick out of the two so every night we lay in bed and listen to GNR before he drifts off to sleep land! I myself love the Journey I find it very relaxing to listen to as an adult when I have a little to much on my plate and just need to unwind I’ll pop this into the CD player and let the stress melt away!


I will be sure to add these to each of the gift baskets I make for my friends and family when they are expecting a new baby! I am so thrilled that someone actually took the time to think about all of us mommies out there who rock hard and what their little ones to share in the glory of rock!

Sodastream Review

I don’t know about you and your family but my family sure does love their sodas! My son I would have to say is the worst one of all of use he has to have his “Pepper” every morning when he wakes up kinda like my coffee fix! So as you can imagine we spend quite a bit of dough on sodas and carbonated drinks around this house!

I have to tell you I was absolutely thrilled when I first read about the Sodastream Fountain Jet! My first thought was this could be the answer to help us save a little extra on our carbonated drinks.

I was lucky enough to receive a Sodastream Fountain Jet starter kit for review and I have to tell you that the set up and use was extremely easy! I decided to use this for my son’s second birthday party vs. spending a bunch of money on other soft drinks and this way all our guest would have plenty of flavors to choose from. I was absolutely amazed at how many guest asked where I had got the Sodastream and where they could get one of their own and if you’re wondering too you can get your very own Sodastream Fountain Jet via their Official Website.

We were sent a large assortment of flavors for the fountain jet and we have tried them all and I have to say my absolute favorite was the Diet Pink Grapefruit as some of you may know I have quit drinking any sodas other than diets and with the selection of diet flavors they offer I will never get board drinking the same diet soda again which is totally awesome! My son’s favorite flavor was the Ginger Ale which kind of surprised me since he is all about the “peppers” any other time but I’m so thankful that this machine has really gave him the chance to venture out and try something new! My husbands pick was the Energy flavor and he absolutely loves it, I myself have not tried it but he defiantly gave it the thumbs up!

Over-all I would defiantly recommend this fountain to any soda drinker out there! But they don’t just have soda flavors they also sent us some flavors to add to the carbonated water and that made for a very refreshing drink!

ZeroWater Pitcher Review

I don’t know about all of you out there but I’m not real high on tap water straight from the faucet. So I spend countless dollars on bottled and distilled water for my family. I have tried other filter products out on the market today to try and save money but I have yet to find a product that I was satisfied with! That is until I heard about the ZeroWater Pitcher!

The ZeroWater® technology was first developed to solve a mother’s fatigue from dragging gallons of bottled water jugs home from the grocery store. A father and son put their respective manufacturing and chemistry backgrounds to use to develop an in-home water filtration solution to meet the mother’s approval.

That quest led them to an in-depth study of the technologies successfully used in industrial, environmental, and even government applications for water filtration. That, in turn, led them to ask the question: Why can’t families have the same quality of water derived from those proven technologies? Only when they tried to answer that question did the father and son team find that home users were being completely neglected by the makers of the sophisticated water filtration technologies. Instead, families were being pushed to buy conventional and simple carbon based filters for their in-home filtration.

The means and method of the technology development were as unconventional as the water filter they would ultimately create. Development discussions primarily took place in the family study and the local university library while designs were tested in the kitchen and the back porch using nearby lake water. Filtered water from each design was taken to the university lab for testing. After the mother’s emphatic approval of the taste of the water, the father and son started meeting business people to look at how to bring the technology to homes and families across the country. That led to the first patent, which was awarded in 1996, and three additional patents being awarded in later years. The underlying hope behind the ZeroWater® technology was that the in-home drinking water solution that satisfied one family so many years ago could be the solution for many families today that have an even stronger desire and need for in-home filtration to save money, help the environment and provide the very best in water for their families and friends.

When you buy a Zero Water filter pitcher we include a laboratory-calibrated water tester—called a TDS meter. TDS stands for Total Dissolved Solids, and represents the amount of dissolved substances in parts per million in the water we drink. These substances can negatively affect the way your water tastes.

Our Thoughts:

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to try out ZeroWater for myself and I have to say my family and I loved this pitcher! When the product arrived I was so excited to try it that I had to open it right away! I followed the directions setting it up! The kit I received included: one Pitcher, one filter, and one TDS meter. As soon as I got the pitcher ready I tested my first glass of water that was straight from the tap:




The water came back with a reading of 028 reading before I ran it thru the ZeroWater Pitcher!


After running the tap water thru the pitcher I tested again and it had the reading of 000!

Afterward I wanted to test out the taste difference between the waters. I set up two glasses of water and had my husband taste each one and tell me if there was a difference and have him guess which glass was from the ZeroWater Pitcher. I myself had already tested the water and I have to say I could really tell the difference in the taste of the water and when he tried them his results were the same as mine, we both preferred the ZeroWater of the tap water!
