Once again we are off on our mission to bring you the best Halloween décor and accessories to make this Haunting Season the best ever and what is the one thing you have to have when taking your children out Trick-Or-Treating during the witching hour? Well….I’ll tell you! You must have a Trick-Or-Treat bag for them to carry all their accumulated goodies in right? Right! I can tell you that last year when we took “Bug” around the neighborhood we ended up having to carry a larger bag to empty his small pumpkin bucket but I think the smaller and decorated baskets/buckets/sacks are so much better than a grocery bag to have them carry around and just makes the Holiday that much more special so one thing I really wanted to find for this Halloween is a unique one of a kind Trick-or-Treat bag for “Bug” so that he had his very own unique bag to carry around so of course my first stop on my journey was ETSY, I love all things handmade and you just don’t get the quality in stores that you do when you buy handmade so naturally that was why I chose Etsy as my first stop. And after spending some time searching I found the perfect bag for my little man at O.C. Styles Handcrafted Gifts & Accessories and I was thrilled when I was given the opportunity to review it right here on my blog!

My Thoughts:

I was given the opportunity to choose the perfect Trick-Or-Treat bag for “Bug” to use this Halloween and after much debate on which one we liked the best (we really liked them all) we came to agree on the Halloween Trick or Treat Candy Bag (Spooky Hollow) and I have to say that the photos do not do this bag justice it is absolutely adorable!!! I’m loving the different faces on the pumpkins and the Owls….I’m really drawn to the Owls for some reason! I think the ribbons on this bag is the perfect mix of colors and really draws the bag together and I also feel that they make this bag perfect for little boys and girls alike!

Once the bag arrived at our door (very quickly I must say) I couldn’t wait to get it out and inspect the stitching and craftsmanship, I am beyond pleased with both the stitching and craftsmanship of this bag and I have a feeling that it will stand up way beyond just one Halloween night like some other bags we have tried. I figure this trick-or-treat bag will be used for several years to come. And of course the most important thing to me was what “Bug” thought about it and he absolutely loves it! He has carried it around saying Trick-Or-Treat ever since we got it so I think it’s going to make a heck of a good bag this year and best of all it’s unique and not everyone will be carrying one of these beauties!

Dark Horse Arts and Gifts (Etsy) Halloween Spooktacular Giveaway #2

As you know today marks the first day of October and the beginning to my favorite month on the whole year! I don’t know if this is because my birthday is Oct 11 or if it’s the change in the weather or of course my favorite Holiday of the entire year HALLOWEEN? Now, I wasn’t given a product to review here on my blog but I do what to tell you my thoughts on the items Jeanie has to offer in her shop!

I’ve been spending quite a bit of time at the Dark Horse Arts and Gifts Etsy shop and with all of the beautiful gifts that Jeanie has to offer I’m pretty sure you are going to find the perfect addition to your own holiday décor and/or the perfect gift for that special someone in your life. Jeanie is a super talented woman and her creations are just so unique and beautiful that I could find a place in my home for each and every one of her marvelous creations!

The first item that caught my eye while browsing Dark Horse Arts and Gifts was Jeanie’s beautiful Boo Box! I don’t know for sure what has drawn me to this particular piece but I’ve absolutely fell in love with this little treat box! I’m loving the happy face on the ghost and I don’t think I’ve mentioned this before but I’ve always been fascinated with ghost and that’s our go to décor for this fun holiday!

The next item I found that I was drooling over was Jeanie’s super cute Halloween Pumpkin 4 dish set in Black and White! I think these would be wonderful to use to serve our spooky Halloween treats on at our annual Halloween/Fall Fest we do every year for the kids! I think this set is just too adorable and I would love to display these not only at the Halloween Fest but the whole month of October in a very special place on my mantel!

This last item was very hard to decide on because I love all of the items she has that are Halloween related but she also has some awesome Christmas related décor and gifts as well but since we are celebrating Halloween I’m going to stick with that theme and go with the adorable Jack O’Lantern Centerpiece in black and white! I can already visualize this beauty on my entertainment center in the place of honor! I’m really loving all the black and white pumpkins that Jeanie has to offer I think they give a whole new twist to traditional Halloween Décor.

Bottom Line:

I have to admit that narrowing down just three Halloween décor/gift pieces from Dark Horse Arts and Gifts was really hard and I would have loved to be able to feature all of Jeanie’s beautiful pieces! Now, I wasn’t given a product to review here on my blog but I do what to tell you my thoughts on the items Dianne has to offer in her shop!

After spending some time browsing her shop I have came to the realize that Dianne is one super talented lady and all of the items she offers in her shop are just beautiful! I swear I could spend quite some time just drooling over the beauties she has listed in her shop. I’ve picked out just a few of my absolute favorites because I knew if I didn’t limit myself to just three of my absolute favorites I would be typing this review all day long!

In the spirit of Halloween the item that has just recently caught my eye and became a must have on my list is this beautiful Scary Jack-O-Lantern Pressed Flower Transparent Resin Star Pendant and I don’t know for sure what has drawn me to this pendant if it’s the striking resemblance to Jack Skellington or if it’s just the beauty of the piece itself!

Also since it’s finally Fall I’m going to keep this review all fall/Halloween themed but I do want to take a moment to mention she has something for everyone and every taste!

The next item on my must have is these beautiful Aspen Leaf Hand Tinted Dangle Earrings! I just love the color of these earrings and they just scream Fall! If I were to get my hands on a pair of these earrings I would defiantly be sporting them all season long!

The last item on my must have, although this was a really hard choice to narrow it down to just three is the Maple Leaf and Skeleton Leaf Sun Catcher or Pendant! I would love to have this as a Sun Catcher on my front porch or as the pendent to use in my car on my mirror!

I love all of the beautiful pieces that Dianne has to offer in her shop and believe me you could get lost for quite some time browsing her beauties! I love to craft and especially love to craft during the holidays and changing of the seasons so I’m always on the lookout for the absolute best crafting products that are available on the market today and one that I have found to be consistently fair priced and work wonderful on every project I have ever used it on and that’s Elmer’s Glue…..yep, the same glue you probably used in school as a child and the products your child is probably using in school!

My Thoughts:

I was sent several of Elmer’s Glue products to review and I can tell you I was already a bit bias when the products arrived!

The first product we were sent to review was the traditional Elmer’s School Glue and I love this glue! It’s perfect for when “Bug” wants to craft with mommy and I love that it is washable and doesn’t run all over the place which makes clean up a breeze! This glue is not only safe for “Bug” but it does exactly what it is supposed to do and that’s glue his creations together and they stick!

The next product we were sent was the Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Glue-All and I love that this glue not only works in the craft room but it is also perfect for those quick light duty jobs that needs to be done around our home. I’ve used this glue to fix some places where our wall boarders are peeling off the wall and it works like magic and best of all dries clear so you can’t even tell I had to do a touch up with it!

We also received an assortment of Elmer’s Glue Sticks to review that included Disappearing Purple School Glue Sticks, Washable Gel Glue Sticks, Repositionable Picture and Poster Stick and the All Purpose Glue Sticks and I will say that I love all of these glue sticks I use them quite a bit while working on my scrapbook pages and I love the Picture and Poster Stick for scrapbooking especially! Little “Bug” and I have been using these almost daily working on our Fall/Halloween crafts getting ready for our Fall/Halloween Fest that we are having this year! I’m also expecting to use these on the craft tables we are going to set up for the kids to do some fall crafts during the party!

We also received CraftBond Glue Spots to review and I’ve had lots of fun using these to on some of our fall crafts. I love that these are more convenient than the regular glue and glue sticks and they stick fast and hold great!

I also got a box of the CraftBond Photo Corners to review and I love, love, love these! I use them all the time now on my scrapbook pages, and I plan on keeping them in my craft room from now on!

Bottom Line:

I love Elmer’s Glue and always have, I think they make the absolute best glue for any project that you have to tackle from your own personal crafts, scrapbooking to school projects to the annual homecoming float! If you haven’t tried Elmer’s Glue yet you should really head out and pick some up and find out how easy to use and how quick it is to clean up and I bet you will be hooked :0)

I am a huge snacker and I snack on a daily basis even though I know I shouldn’t I sometimes can help myself and I’m always looking for new and unique foods to try and one day while searching around for a new type of cracker (I love crackers to snack on) I happened to come across 34° Crispbread and I was immediately attracted to their uniquely favored Crispbread and was really excited to be able to give each of their six flavors a try!

My Thoughts:

I was sent a box of each of the six varieties of 34° Crispbread: Natural, Sesame, Cracked Pepper, Rosemary, Lemon Zest and Whole Grain to review and I could not wait to start munching on them when they arrived on the door step!

The first of the six flavors I tried was the Sesame variety and I have to say my first thought about these Crispbread was I’m loving the shape and then the taste was amazing it was unlike any other cracker I had tasted before and I could not wait to start mixing it with different dips and such. I love to use the Sesame Crispbread at lunch time with my tuna it really gives a whole new flavor and texture to the tuna I’m used to but I just can’t get enough of these!

Next I gave the Cracked Pepper Crispbread a try and I’m one that has always enjoyed a little kick to everything that I eat and these were so perfect for me! I love the unique taste and texture of the Crispbread and this variety is wonderful all by itself just straight out of the box! This is probably one of my absolute favorites of the six varieties!

Next was the Lemon Zest Crispbread and these have a very nice lemon taste and I love to eat these when I feel like I need a sweet snack instead of grabbing chocolate or something high in sugar and such. I love eating these with fruit dip it really is fantastic!

Next came the Whole Grain Crispbread and this one is by far in the top of my favorites, I love any kind of whole grain crackers and breads so I had a feeling that I would really enjoy this flavor and I did, I love these! I eat these plain and with my spray cheese we keep in the pantry for “Bug” and of all the varieties we were sent this is the only one that he will eat!

I also tried the Rosemary Crispbread and this is one that I had to taste a few times to decide if it was one that I liked…and in the long run I find myself craving the Rosemary over the other varieties! I’ve enjoyed these alone and with herbed goat cheese and it’s really a unique and delicious treat!

The last variety I tried was the Natural Crispbread and once again this one is on the top of my list as well! I love these as a quick snack before bed while watching Ghost Hunters or some sort of Wrestling I don’t know why but those two shows really just need some sort of snack and the Natural Crispbread is my go to snack on those nights! I love these crisp with mustard spreads and you may call me crazy but with my pulled pork bbq!

Bottom Line:

I’m very pleased with the flavor and texture of all six varieties of the 34° Crispbreads that we were sent. To be honest they have really changed the way I look at my old plain crackers that I used to love snacking on and the why I’ve started snacking on crackers! I’m sure that from now on I will be keeping a few boxes of these little gems in my pantry for when I have a snack attack. I also served these crisp with a party platter at a family get together and I’m thinking they are a must have for the next party or get together!
