HamsaJewelry.com Review and Giveaway

I own quite a bit of jewelry but I don’t really own many bracelets, and I really do love to wear unique Fashion Bracelets that not everyone has so when I’m looking for a new unique piece to add to my collection I look for several points of interests such as color, size and charms so when I came across HamsaJewelry.com I knew that their Fashion Jewelry would be perfect to add to my growing collection of unique beautiful jewelry pieces. So when they offered to send me a hand knit beaded bracelet I couldn’t wait to get it and try it on!

About HamsaJewelry.com (Taken From Facebook):

HamsaJewelry.com is a place to find handmade, handsome and hip Hamsa jewelry. Bracelets, earrings, anklets, necklaces and more Kabbalah jewelry.

Through the wearing and collecting of this jewelry, you can bring positive spiritual energy into your life...

Just What Is a Hamsa?

Pretty much anywhere you go in the world you will see Hamsa hands in various forms.

This is a palm-shaped amulet which was born in the Middle East and North Africa. The Hamsa is known in Arabic culture as the hand of Fatima, memorializing Fatima Zahra, the daughter of the Prophet Muhammad. In Judaism it is known as the hand of Miriam, the sister of Ahron and Moses. Archaeologists inform us that a downward pointing hamsa used as a protective amulet in the Middle East predates its use by the monotheistic faiths to which it is known to – Judaism and Islam, namely. It is associated with Tanit, the supreme deity of Carthage (Phoenicia) whose hand, or, in some cases vulva was a symbol for warding off the evil eye.

Oftentimes, even usually, the Hamsa features an eye in its center. In Arabic and Berber, the hand, the eye and the number five is exemplified in the saying khamsa fi ainek, which means "five fingers in your eye". Still a different formula spoken against the evil eye in Arabic is khamsa wa-khamis. In Hebrew it symbolizes the fifth letter in the alphabet, "Heh", which is representative of one of God's holy names. Jews also believe that the five fingers of the hamsa hand remind its wearer to use their five senses to praise God.

If not an eye, the Hamsa may be plain or other figures may be placed in the center of the hand. Any artistic representation may be placed, evoking any theme which the artist chooses.

So what do you do with a Hamsa hand? You probably won't slap it, you can't shake it; I guess you could use it to fan yourself in church or another hot building in the summer.

Well, it is often times, maybe usually incorporated in jewelry, bracelets, anklets, necklaces, etc. It may be made of plastic, gold, silver or whichever material the craftsperson chooses.

It could be a wall-hanging or a pendant to put in your pocket. It might be a charm to hang from an existing piece of jewelry, a keychain, a cell phone or your cars' rear-view mirror. In Jewish mysticism, like Christianity, fish are a symbol of good luck and holiness, so many Hamsas are also decorated with fish images.

In the last decade, brought about thanks to a renewed interest in the mystical and growing attention to the spiritual side of things, Kabbalah Jewelry and Kabbalah bracelets, such as the Red Kabbalah String Bracelet, have brought attention to the Hamsa.

Well, extensions of the Hamsa Jewelry theme have been rediscovered and westernized as well, Evil Eye Jewelry and other variations related to magical protection have been becoming more common and hip, like a snowball of popularity.

My Thoughts:

I was sent the beautiful Hamsa Hand & Turquoise Beaded Fashion Bracelet with silver plating to review and I must say with it being shipped all the way from Israel I was expecting shipping to take some time but my bracelet arrived in about 7 business days from the day I got the notification that it had shipped so I’m very impressed with the shipping!

Before I continue with my review I wanted to take a minuet to share some information about the Hand & Turquoise Beaded Fashion Bracelet:

Original design and quality materials make this fashion bracelet the perfect gift for yourself and others. Handmade with Japanese Turquoise beads and Hamsa Eye charm it presents a beautiful and inspirational piece of fashion jewelry.

Turquoise is renowned for its pacifying and relaxing qualities, while the
Hamsa is a long standing symbol for safety and protection, from the evil eye and negative energies.

Choose between Gold or Silver plating for the Hamsa charm.

Bracelet measures approximately 7" in length and custom sizes may be ordered

at no additional charge. This bracelet is part of the MIZZE - Made for Luck
collection.

Now, back to my review. Since receiving this bracelet and putting it on my wrist I have not yet taken it off for anything, since I want to do a complete review I felt that having this bracelet on my wrist at all times was the best way to get the best review possible. I’ve worn it to shower, sleep, cook, clean and everything else and I must say that just because I wanted to do a great review, I secretly want to wear this bracelet constantly because I’m just that much in love with it! It’s so simply, unique and just plain beautiful and it fits in my daily wardrobe with no problems so why take it off right?

Like I said I’ve been wearing this bracelet non-stop for a couple weeks now and I have to say I am beyond impress at how well it’s held up to all I’ve put it through! It looks just like new, and like it did when I took it out of the package the day it arrived. I’m convinced that this bracelet is very high quality and wont break or fall apart easily at all!

I’ve received several comments on the bracelet over the last couple of weeks and they have all been very positive and I’m truly in love with my bracelet and I have no intentions of taking it off any time soon. I don’t know if it’s just in my head or not but since wearing this bracelet I’ve felt more lucky and I’ve noticed a rise in my giveaway wins over the past few weeks…what do you think?

Bottom Line:

I’m so impressed with the quality and beauty of the bracelet that I received that I am now trying to decide what anklet I want to order from HamsaJewelry.com, but I‘m pretty sure I‘m going to get my husband to get me the Charmed Protection Anklet for my upcoming birthday! I’ve also gotten quite a few comments about my bracelet from my mother-in-law and she seems to really be wanting one so I’m thinking about getting her one of the Hamsa Hand & Turquoise Beaded Fashion Bracelets for the holidays!

If you are looking for high quality, unique fashion jewelry you should really check out Hamsajewelry.com I’m pretty sure your going to find something you will fall in love with or the perfect gift for somebody you love!
